Twinkie needs a loving patient home. Her older mom has health issues and can't take care of her anymore. She was places in what we hoped to be her forever home but she is not adjusting well to their lifestyle. Where she is now the lady is a busy single mom with a VERY energetic son and Twinkie is a little stressed around his noises and craziness of a young boy. As a result she is going potty in the house. As far as I have been told she has not had this issue with the original owner.
I went over and met Twinkie and she is a very sweet girl. She loves to give lots of kisses and lay in your lap. She was very good with the boy when he was still and loved on him as well. They are very bummed, but want to do what’s best for Twinkie.
I feel that Twinkie would do best in a home with no little kids, a more quiet house and not so hectic. She is use to being inside and a part of the family, it was just a husband and wife before and 1 other dog and she had no potty issues. She is pretty scared of cats as the single mom’s cat attacked her. But today she was ok when I was there, but I made it “no big deal” and neither did she. It would be nice to find someone that worked from home or maybe could take her to work or doesn’t work long hours, but she was ok left alone (she didn’t potty in the 6 hrs she was home by herself). Someone that like to do things with their dogs, walk, hike, just get her out and do something with her. :0)
I hope we can find Twinkie her forever home she has been thru enough changes. Please e-mail me Teresa privately at zipnzhoie@comcast.net and we can talk.
