Hi everyone, I would value your thoughts/ ideas on my Cardis behaviour whilst out walking. Wilf is 3 1/2 now and has never been a very sociable dog but would be ameinable for a pet and people looking at him and asking questions regarding his breed( There are only 2 Cardis in our town so he stands out). Recently if i stop to talk to anyone he creates by barking at them and me and will not let anyone pet him, also when we start to walk away he barks at me sometimes quite aggressively to where i stand him still whilst pulling sharpley on his lead untill he stops!!!  then he carries on as if nothing has happened. Another new trick of his is when we are out walking off lead he will quite happily run ahead a little for five/ten mins looking round to see we are still following every couple of mins then suddenly he will charge back to us barking really loudly and has a couple of times tried to nip me!! He has always been a bossy boots and you really need to be on the ball with him at all times to let him know that he is not the boss but its getting quite embaressing now :(
