Hi
I spotted a male corgi on petfinder at the Laguna Beach animal shelter ( a no kill shelter)
I went to visit him today to see if he would be a good fit for our family, and if he would get along with my 2 yr old female.
The dog is great, a very young and feisty 8 years, was recently neutered, and unfortunately not house trained.
He has the energy of a pup, runs, fraps, jumps on the pic epic table as a billy goat. Not trained much. I placed him on his back, played with his feet, and even held his nose, he was fine and tolerated it all with no aggression. He would be great in agility or herding, but I think he is best as an only dog.
He will calm down once his testosterone balances! It's only been a week, and he seems like he will housetrain easily.
He is a sweetheart. Loves to play, has more energy than most pups.
His adoption fee is only $100 and he has been chipped, neutered, treated for fleas and thoroughly tested by a vet. He was owner surrendered after what they think was an elderly situation and the owner was put in a care facility. They shelter says he "doesn't know that he's a dog" and has little interest in other dogs. My f corgi is very docile and we felt he was too alpha for her, she is a princess with a weak back.
He would be be a lot of fun for a very active person, someone that can train him, hike and walk him a lot!
He can be found at:20612 Laguna canyon rd, Laguna beach ca
