I've been looking for custom collars for both dogs. Here are the two sites that I like so far for this reason...

collar mania I like this site because of the options of hardware you can put on the collar. I also like it cause you have a huge option between fabric, nylon, and leather collars to customize.

Cozy critter I like this site because of the huge selection of tags as well as different prints for collars. They also have some fun knickknacks for the humans too.

I may just end up ordering from both sites. I'll probably get a tag from cozy critter and a collar from collar mania. I'm not sure. I like both sites so much and the options you can have with both. At least I have more options for the potential purple collar.

There's a FAQ about collars. I made Gwynn's from scratch and modified a Martingale for Al. Nothing fancy; my goal was minimal weight and maximal simplicity, considering how far the dog has to carry the thing.
We found two hunting dogs lost in a remote wilderness area once. The owner's cell phone # was stamped on a tiny plate riveted to the collar. Being on a hill, we had reception, and they were reunited within hours.
I was at the Viking Festival and saw a vendor that has custom made leather collars.

He made some (non-collar) pieces for the Deadliest Warrior show. Very friendly guy. He says he'll work with you if you want something special.
There was a green celtic design collar that was gorgeous!
