a few years ago, we had a little girl come to our door trick or treating and she told us we should name our dog barky, lol...I got the biggest kick out of that....such an accurate statment.  :)

ohh, and just recently my niece who just turned two walked in the door...saying....shhhhhhhhhhhh LOL of course why, yep, cause Lance was barking!! :)

"Why you get a bunny!"

At a recent agility event Baxter came in first and I put his blue ribbon on his collar. Three children came up to me and the little boy asked how tall Baxter was. I thought, that was a bizarre question. I told him and then he asked if Baxter could do any tricks. So I showed him roll over, play dead, shake, and high five. Then the boy asked if he could do anything else. I showed him sit pretty, speak, and whisper. Then the boy asked if he could do a backflip. That's when I thought, get outta here kid, ya bother me.

I get asked a lot where their tails are. This post shows different funny responses for when you get asked th...

A four year old once asked me, while we were on our walk...."Is your dog a wiener dog?"

I had a group of kids probably between the ages of 6-10 ask me if Noodles was a boy or girl. I said he was a boy. The kids all bent down on the ground trying to find a certain body part on Noodles. They told me he was a girl because they couldn't see one and then since the kids were on the ground, Noods thought they wanted to rub his belly, so he rolled on his back. That is when one of the kids pointed and said "oh look, he does have one. He is a boy."

I also had a little girl about the age of 5 ask me about Noodles tail. To make it easy, I just said he wasn't born with one (no need to tell her it was cut off when he was one day old). She kept telling me it was going to grow back and I said it wasn't and Noodles was born without a tail. We went back and forth for a little while and as she was walking away she said, "I know his tail will grow back." Well, I guess she told me.

At one point we had 3 docked dogs of different breeds. A little boy came to visit and looked at me with the saddest eyes and said "why do you cut off all your dogs' tails?"

Overheard a young boy (under 5 yrs old) telling his parents - "That's a big rat!" (referring to Pazu)
