Do you have a Corgi friendly car?
Here are the corgi mobiles we've had over the years:
Nissan Xterra - Too high for ours to jump on, the front seat is fine, but it's impossible for them to jump on in the back seat. Very nice cargo space, but muddy paws can be a problem.
Lexus ES300 - Leather get scratched up, the tan color interior does help to "hide" the fur, cargo space is a joke, cannot fit any wire crate in the trunk. Good height for the dogs to jump in.
Lexus SC300 - Rear seats are perfect for the dogs, no human should ever sit back there, it gets really really hot in Florida summer, right height, very heavy doors.
Toyota Matrix - Awesome plastic hatch area, wipes down easy, you can use a garden blower to blow out the fur, rear hatch glass open, wire crate fits in the back, plenty of cargo room, great on gas. nice height for the dogs.
Toyota Sienna - very roomy, can fit the doggies plus family and cargo. Not so good on gas but definitely ride in comfort for everyone, especially road trip.
Now what do you drive? How corgi friendly is it? Lets hear the pros and cons :)

Isn't there a foreign car called Corgi?? I thought I had a video of an advertisement for it but can not find it.
Anyways..I love my Eddie Bauer Explorer. To get in by the back seat they just use the running boards but from the hatch you have to pick them up even though a few try to jump and do succeed I don't allow it and don't allow them to jump down either but I can lay those back seats down and all 7 can ride w/me.

We drove a Honda Pilot for years, but the dogs had to be picked up and placed inside. We are now driving a Honda Odyssey and the dogs just jump in. There is room for many humans, the dogs, and cargo. We are going to look at the Honda Element in the future because Soffie and Griffyn are now harnessed and seat-belted in for safety reasons, and we could possibly do with a smaller car.

Oh yes, we traded in our 2 Lexus for the "practical" "utilitarian" hatchbacks and Van (goober mobile) :( Oh, How I miss driving a 2 seater with the top down.... sigh

ein's sitting pretty in my 01 vw new beetle :) he just loves riding shotgun because of the huge dash. there's even one of those bars on the dash that he likes to hold on to. when my daughter is with us, he rides in the backseat with her. all i do is put an old sheet where he sits so that his fur doesn't end up all over the seats. the car is definitely low enough for him to jump in and out of, though he's still working on that. it seems he only jumps when he's at his maximum excitement levels. it's definitely working for us, though i'm not sure what we'll do when we need to take his crate with us. i'm thinking we'll just separate it into 2 parts and place it in the trunk.

I have a 2005 Honda CR-V. We used to put Tiki in the back seat and he had his own hammock.

My first car with Gonzo was my Hyundai Accent...quite small, but comfortable. Seats weren't easy to clean, and the gray color didn't help.
I now have a Toyota Rav 4, which provides more room, and since it has all new leather, hilarious sliding in backseat happens constantly. Seats are much easier to clean.

2005 Ford Mustang GT - I know it sounds bad for a Corgi but Caesar loves it. I strap him to his puppy booster seat and he sleeps all the way. I came to realize that he doesn't really like when I put the top down... even if I roll up the windows to avoid too much wind on him so I avoid driving with the top down when he's in the car. Because they sit so low even a puppy like Caesar jumps on the seat without any issues. The only down side is that he figured out how to roll down the window and it does not have child locks so we keep arguing over window up or down. I roll it up, he rolls it down. Too cute...

We have a Dodge Magnum that really suits our corgis! Its got a lot of room inside--either side of my sons carseat fits a crate for long trips, plus the trunk space is massive! Juneaux easily jumps in and out of the seats, but needs help getting in when she's riding in the back. Plenty of space throughout for a couple of corgis and a couple of kids, and all in the back seat. Max has yet to "master" the jump in, lol, but does travels well in his crate for now.
Only con is the leather seating, but with trimmed nails, we've never had problems.

I have a Honda Civic 2007. Between me and the Boyfriend, I have the "family" car. He's got a Toyota Tacoma single cab that will not hold me, the Weim, and a Corgi! It probably would be ok with Freya and I, but when she get's bigger it may be too small.
I have gray interior so not only can you see corgi hair but you also see Weim hair and he's white (not the standard gray you see.) The hairs stick to the seats too and most importantly the floor boards have a thick coating of hair.
I need to get seats covers, but I'm not sure if I can put them on the front seats cause of the airbags there. Does anyone know?
I know seat covers saved my boyfriend from a terrible mess--so they are worth the investment if you can spare the money for it. Cloud had gastritis and diarrhea all over his truck--on my birthday no less...he had a "crappy day" lol. Anyway, it saved his seats from being infiltrated by the dastardly poo!
My car isn't very corgi friendly though--Freya is too small to jump up on her own. Though I'm starting to wonder if she grasped the idea of jumping in yet--she never had to jump on the couch and can't jump up the bed. The backseat won't fit either crates for the dogs and though she's got plenty of room to sprawl in either the passenger or the back seat, the Weim is never still enough for her to enjoy it.

Yes, there are "partial" sideless seat covers that work well with side airbag equipped car seats, they may not look nice, but will not hinder the airbag function.
