I am using a lot of training treats. How should I factor in the calories? I'm using cheese, Zukes minis, Buddy Biscuits, Bil Jac, and OMH Bitz. I break them up so each is tiny. I get 2-4 treats out of a Zukes.

Becca gets 1/2 cup Honest Kitchen and 1 cup TOTW split into two meals. Two spoons of her morning meal goes into a Kong to be froze for the next day. Instead of measuring with a level half cup I started using just under half. It is hard to measure how many treats she gets. It all depends on our moods and how much we practice. On class day it is at least a quarter cup.

She isn't overweight, but I don't want her to be. She is walked 1-3 miles a day. Most days it is close to 3.

I don't usually worry about the training treats until they are around 1 1/2 years or start to look fat. Both Franklin and Kirby are hard to put weight on so the more treats the better. Generally with Franklin on training days if he had a morning/noonish class I would cut his meal in half, I did this mostly to make him extra excited about the treats. I also used to feed that combo and recentlly cut out the Honest Kitchen because Franklin seemed to be losing so much weight with it even feeding as directed and doubling his food. Didn't make sense since honest kitchen had the same (or close) calories as TOTW, but since I cut it out and feed that amount in kibble instead of HK, he has put on a little more weight.
