Hi all,
My wife and I are trying to find a Pembroke (or a mix that looks like a Pembroke) Corgi. It seems relatively easy to find a puppy, but we are hoping to find a "beyond-puppy" Corgi.
We live in San Francisco (buy have a small yard and are a block from a dog park and like to go hiking).
Anywhere a couple of hours from the bay area would be great.
Any suggestions/links/contacts/etc appreciated!
Thanks,
Pete

I know how hard it can be to find an adult in the bay area. Took me a year to find one. Just keep searching craigslist and petfinder and contact breeders in the area to see if any of them know of adult dogs needing re-homing.
join the "Bay Area and Northern California Corgis" on facebook & ask there. The same group is also on this forum however, it's not as active as the one on facebook. So i'd give the facebook one a try. :)

GGPWCF is a good place to start if you're looking to rescue http://www.goldengatecorgis.org/rescue/rescue.htm I came here first when I was looking to get a Corgi, but unfortunately they were all adopted already. It looks like they have a girl available right now though!
Thanks everyone! I've been checking Golden Gate corgis for a while now...and you are right, there is a new one! The story of Gus the 78 lbs corgi is pretty interesting as well.
Thanks for the help!

Well, I know Bakersfield/Lancaster is quite a few hours away from San Francisco but, here are a few corgi mixes from those area. They're adorable! I wish I could save those in the Kern County Animal Control Shelter!
