Interesting little blurb on dogs being trained to sniff out health problems. I've heard of cancer-sniffing dogs and seizure-sensitive dogs, but here's one trained to sniff low blood sugar, too! A fellow who lived near me in NY had a "helper" Corgi who was trained to help the hearing impaired (she would alert him when the phone rang, etc.). Since my guys are hypersensitive to drops in their own blood sugar (Cookie alert! Cookie alert!), I'm sure they could do something along these lines, lol. Still, I think dogs are wonderful, even the non-Corgis.

This is awesome!! As a type 1 diabetic myself, this could be a great way for me to take a corgi everywhere!! And I wholeheartedly agree with you Susan, dogs ARE wonderful!! It's amazing all of the service work they do for us, not to mention the help that therapy dogs can provide.
