Pool swimming and Ocean swmimming

I see alot of pictures of people and their dogs in pools. We are going on vacation and willl be staying on the ocean and will be in a house with a pool. I am wondering is it safe for my corgi to swim in the pool (with her lifejacket of course) and what about the ocean, what if she drinks the salt water. She is always in fresh water lakes and has never experienced salt water. Any input or advise on how to procede in both situations would be appreciated.

Try to keep her from drinking pool or ocean water if you can. Also it is important to rinse them off with fresh water after they go into the ocean I just used a regular hose. I left Kippers life jacket on when he went in the ocean because of the waves.
