I was wondering if anyone had one of these? I just received mine in the mail. I ordered a XS because my corgi's girth was between 19-20 in (xs is 17-22) but the first thing I noticed was how short the harness was in length. She's a year and half now, hasn't gotten any bigger in the past 6 months. She's a little abnormally long and tall but she's skinny (healthy). Short is usually ok, but b/c this one has that extra strap to support belly/lower ribs I was wondering if it would harm her if I picked her up with the handle. The strap currently sits on the last 2 ribs. If I get the small it would be for 22-27 in girth so I think it would be too wide. pics:

Same thing just happened to me and I have a one year old corgi. Except our harness doesn't fit in the neck. I think I'm going to try the small and see if it is too wide since she is at the 20 inch mark. Im hoping it fits.
You can call Ruffwear about sizing - they're actually really helpful.
I'd worry about picking up a corgi with the handle a lot, though. Vet and breeder both have always insisted that picking up a corgi requires two hands - one to support the chest and one to support the rear and to keep them level and lot let their rear ends hang down. Bad for the spine.
Yea the handle is there when necessary but not so you can tote the dog around like a purse lol. I'm just afraid of the placement on the bottom if it'll be bad for the ribs in case I need to lift her for any reason from a direction/location where I can't lift her whole body.
