A few years ago my mother told me that after our older dog passed she didn't want another dog... ever. Well she moved out and I got my corgi, Puck. Needless to say she fell in love with Puck. She's loves taking him home for weekend visits and spoiling him rotten. She even let him sleep in her bed! Something she never lets dogs do. Soon enough she started talking about getting her own corgi.
This afternoon we went to a breeder and my mother got her own pembroke corgi! I'm so happy for her. She got a little red and white female. It can be hard to tell how they are on the first day but she's such a good girl! She's actually Puck's opposite. My mom named her Penny. She's very quiet and already goes potty outside. She is always very loving. My mom got her a few toys and Penny picked up each toy one by one and placed them in her open kennel and then cuddled up with them. She's a keeper. : ) I'm glad Puck likes her because now he has a play time buddy.
Penny is also bigger than Puck and she's a month and 2 weeks younger than him. Puck is about 9 pounds and Penny has got to be pushing 10. And I thought Puck was getting bigger! He looks so little next to her. Penny father was a big boy though. But anyway, this breed of dog will never cease to amaze me. I'm so happy for my mom! Hopefully I can get her to join up here. : )
