Wyoming Rescue's "Dachshund Derby & Corgi Classic!"

I've been in contact with the Wyoming Dachshund and Corgi Rescue for a little while now. I'm looking to adopt, and they were the only active rescue relatively close to Denver. I'm going to attend their fundraising event, to meet 2 potential adoptable dogs. (Cross your fingers guys! Hopefully one of them is a good match, and will be coming home with me!)

Anyway, I thought I'd pass along the info about their upcoming fundraiser, so anyone in the area can attend, if interested! There will be auctions, raffles, vendors with doggy items, costume contests, and of course the races.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2011 - doors open at 10:30 Platte County Fairgrounds

The event is indoors, so you don't have to worry about the weather -yippie!

Thanks! I've been keeping an eye out on petfinder & adopt-a-pet, since a lot of the local shelters post there. There was a huge influx of Corgis but they were all rescued from the puppy-mill (which means, not housebroken... we can't do that in our apartment). But I'm really hopeful! Thanks for the well-wishes!
