I'm wondering what experience everyone else has with this since it may or may not be a breed trait.
My corgi has no issue sending away from me. I can get great distance from her already and we haven't really been training that long (a year or so). She will send down long obstacles like the dog walk without me having to be by her side. She is comfortable taking obstacles 10-15 feet away from me as long as I direct her properly. I didn't know how rare this was until a few trainers explained it to me. We're now working on layering obstacles and getting more distance.
Since corgis were bred to work long distances away from their handlers I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this in training.
