Hot Spots
Has anyone dealt with hot spots on their Corgis? I have a 7 yr old female and she has a light case of hot spots on her chest --- I am slowly making progress on clearing them, but wondering what others have found to work. I have shaved her chest, wash her chest area in medicated shampoo and keep her chest dry. She is on an antibiotic too.

I cured it by switching to zero-grain diet - per conversations with Dr. Becker at www.mercola.com Hot spots are typically allergic reactions to something. Not sure why the antibiotic, unless there's secondary infection?

Thanks --- both our dogs are already on grain free diets. I have seemed to get a head of the hot spots this time with the use of medicated shampoo, cortizone, and baby powder!!!
