I don't have pet insurance, only because the vet said I did not need it. I have changed vets', it seems like all she wanted was the money. She said to have a savings account, that didn't make sense to me.

I have United Pet Care for my puppy. It is not exactly pet insurance as much as it is a pet discount plan. There are no deductables or anual limits etc. like there would be with insurance. You basically just pay a discounted price for whatever the service is (ex: office visit is $25, free anual vaccinations, 25% off neuter) and you must use a vet that participates in the program. It's very inexpensive. I pay $10/month for coverage and you'll find that actuall insurance is much more costly. They have a website. Just google United Pet Care and see what you think. :)

I have "Care Credit" by GE Money. I originally got it for myself when I had a gap in dental insurance coverage. What it is is more like a credit card. If you spend so much $$ they will give you time to pay it off with no interest. Kind of like a loan. Some Vets accept Care Credit. Luckily, mine did when Chester was diagnosed with diabetes.
