We did have a harness when we first got her, much too small now, in fact she only wore it once as a wee pup. She outgrew it super fast But, it seems as if people get fussed for using them and I know a few ppl did get fussed in our puppy class! So, I never explored it again. So, do you think it is worth a try? Does Toby pull more with the harness?

Have you tried using a harness so she won't choke herself...I bought Tobe a comfort harness made by four paws..

We'll see, we don't have a wagon and I'm not taking up a spot for my not-so-little corgi who is just stubborn! Also, I'll see if my husband wants to do the parade. Yeah, I haven't updated my page in a long time, she born in March of 08!

Megan, you could try to keep her in the middle of the road and not go toward the people on the side. Also, the wagon thing is a great idea. I know of several people who put their smaller corgis or corgis with DM in a wagon for walks or parades. And you could decorate the wagon like a float!

Oh, maybe not so wee (I misread her birthday on your home page). Any suggestions out there for Megan?

She is almost 2 though and 25 lbs. We worked really hard on the proper leash walking, but we are not always successful, even now. It is much more stopping to try to correct than walking or just her tugging and nearly choking herself. I'll work with her more, but she is so curious with other animals!

Penelope is still a wee thing! One idea is to pull her in a wagon (just a thought :)

We'll see about going over, Robin. Thanks! Though, I still am not sure about the parade. I don't know how well Penelope will cooperate with being on the leash that long with so much going on. We usually have minimal distractions at home and whenever at PetSmart or Petco she loves on everyone because they all stop to pet her and tell her how cute she is (People sure love corgis!)

That's right! Thanks, Megan! I'd love you and Penelope to come to our house with the rest of the gang for a corgi party on Saturday, Jan 23rd (1-3). We'll play, plan for the parade, etc. I'm gonna send more info later.
