Fyi. Beads Galore moved closer towards L. Leo Judice school on Cameron st. They have a new building there.

Here's a sample of the banner streamers or fringe: http://tiny.cc/uqdJW

I just found a site on-line, Century Novelty, that has mardi gras themed plastic leis. I can order a batch for us to look at at the party. http://tiny.cc/Vs1wI

I think Andrea had the idea of making mini-hula skirts. We can get those banner-type streamers of green, purple, gold and trim off just enough to make a skirt. That and a fake lei in mardi gras colors or a single color for each gender would be cute. I'll check at the party store next time I'm in town. I also plan a trip Beads Galore of HWY 90 in Scott. That place is FULL of stuff, and relatively cheaper than other places. That's where I got my throws for last year's Krewe des Chiens parade. My mom walks with a corgi corps for a Christmas parade in Virginia each year (100+ corgis!) and she said the owners all wear a big sign around their neck with their dog's name. Don't know if that would work if we humans are wearing beads though!!

Toki has a Mardi Gras collar from last year we are going rehash. I'm not sure how successful it would be to find Hawaiian themed dog clothes during this time of the year and I'm not clever enough to make up something on my own :P
But I did hear Toby wants to wear his coconut mankini! Haha! Toki made me say that...

Banner looks great!!! I have beads from years past but if we could possibly go to the bead stores and get some "dog" themed throws that would be neat!!!!

I can help with the cost too.

We need to talk about throws, wagons, and costumes. Any suggestions?

That banner is great John! Me and Cody are willing to help with the price too, just let us know! And Robin, as far as I know right now we can make it to your place Saturday. It sounds like a whole lot of fun!

I think the cardis tail is tucked btw it's legs. I'll try to work it up this evening.
