Ooh. I don't know about that Bark Park. I was going to get a membership to the Sandy Bottom Nature Park one, but now I am a little nervous to go to any public places like that what with the Parvo scares going around lately. :/ Maybe we could go to a beach or something, or meet up at a city center somewhere. ^o^ I'll keep an eye out for public events!

I'm game. Piper loves to run and play with other dogs and it'd be nice if she could meet up with other short-legged creatures so that she doesn't get a complex.

I usually take her to a Bark Park in Hampton (Ridgeway) off Mercury by Fox Hill but you have to be registered with the city to do that.

I just read all of the comments on here. ^o^ We should definitely get together somehow to have a play date. I really think Dexter needs to learn what real Corgis are supposed to act like. I think he's starting to think he is a cat. :/

Are there any other dog friendly event taking place some time this summer we could try to meet up at?

Pet Palooza has been cancelled this year (May 30th & 31st 2009). I just found this out and am upset. So, don't go because the event is cancelled.

I have to convince my husband it is a good idea, just because Ein and his sister aren't that fantastic on leashes. We've been looking for some cheap training, seeing as I just moved out here from Cali, but might be able to go for the PetSmart one if anyone coule recommend it. I'm just scared to get him around any girlies, because he's not fixed yet. I'm waiting to see if I can breed him or not before I fix him. I'd love to have one of his puppy's >./body>

unfortunately, neither Piper nor I will be able to make it on the 30th but we will be on the lookout for other play dates.

Dear Rojo and Cynthia Byrd, Hello. I've never gotten together for play dates with other Corgis before, but that would be fun to do sometime. Dewey is very socialized. At obedience training, he is known by the trainer as the social butterfly. Yes, we will be at Pet Palooza at the Old Dominion University Ted Constant Center on May 30th. I hope to see you and your Corgis there. We could take a group picture.

I haven't meet up with anyone here because I just joined recently, but would be willing to attend a Hampton Roads Corgi-palooza.

Just wondering if you guys meet up jst for play dates? My Ein needs to get more socialized. The only pup he plays with is his 'sister' Sophie.
