Do you take them with you when you travel? Does someone come to your home? Do you take them to someone's home?

Nancy - are you in Omaha? I board my little dog at the Nebraska Animal Medical Center (NAMC) in Lincoln, which is also her vet's office. I have been taking her there several days a month for daycare (as needed for long work days) since she was a puppy - so she has doggy friends and the techs all love her. Plus, if she gets sick or nervous, or injured while I'm away - I know she's in good hands.
Yes, we're in Omaha. For years, we had an elderly lady stay at our house to dog/house sit. She has moved to Carroll, Iowa and I've been looking for someone to watch our Sammie at our house, if possible. We're both retired, so he's used to having someone around most of the time. We do leave to do errands, go out to eat, and visit, but he's never by himself for more than about 3 hrs. It's been difficult to find someone who doesn't work that wants to stay at our house 24 hrs for as little as 2 days, but up to 8 days! Thanks for your response!
