Hi everyone,
I am getting a Corgi from Poso Creek in a few weeks and I had some questions for all of you that already have puppies from there.
I was wondering if you were able to meet your puppy before you took them home for good.
Also, what kind of environment are the dogs raised in? From what I've been able to tell it seems like they come from a great environment, but I of course want to make sure!
Any other helpful information will be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Mike,
My Bella came from Poso Creek 2 and a half years ago. Since I was in Santa Clara CA, I never asked to see the puppy before I picked her up. Kim did provide me weekly updates and photos as we went along. I think seeing the puppy would be nice if Kim will permit it. If I remember correctly when I picked up Bella, she had a family there looking at a brand new litter of puppies. Kim is a great breader and lives somewhat away from the city of Bakerfield in what I call the desert. When I picked up Bella, they had me sanatize my shoes in the driveway (bleach and water solution). This was to ensure I didn't bring anything in on the bottom of my shoes that would get the puppies sick.
Kim and her family handle and play with the puppies several times a day to make sure they are friendly and well socialized. I'm not sure where she keeps them in general but I had no concerns when I got Bella. Kim ensures that each puppy is well cared for and is healthy. When I picked up Bella there was a family looking at a new litter and got to hold one of the puppies for a few minutes.
In any case, you can't go wrong with Kim. She's a great lady and really cares about each puppy. I've actually been in contact with her recently because I'm looking to get another puppy as well. If you have any questions, you can email me directly at Debbie.Algieri@sbcglobal.net

I concur with what Debbie said. They treat the puppies really well and they have lots of room to play. We had seen our puppy in pictures and thought she was the one we wanted but didn't have to commit to one until we interacted with them. You could probably see the puppies ahead of time. Enjoy your new puppy! We love ours who is now 1 year old! Also, they are very careful not to overbreed them.
I too am making the drive in Feb to pick up a puppy... My second one... Unfortunately my first had a unfortunate congenital problem... Debbie is great with communication even after you get your puppy...
you'll love your puppy when you see it.. she breeds them so well and they are SO lovable! Once your pup is ready with his or her shots.... there are corgi meet ups in Escondido! If our puppies are from the same batch I'd love to keep in contact with you!
OOpps! I mean KIM not Debbie! I was thinking of my sisters name! :P Sorry!
I agree with everyone here. Kim was great and very helpful to me from the day I emailed her. I picked out my puppy just by pictures and I couldn't have been happier. Kim sent me pictures during the 8 long weeks you have to wait until you get your puppy. The puppies are well socialized and Kim and her husband know exactly what they're doing. My corgi Tobee is a year and a half old and is the cutest thing ever :) I think you'll be very pleased with your choice!
Sounds like Milo has new siblings! His parents are Meaghan and Gilby! He is the best dog we could have asked for, we love his personality.
Thanks everyone for your help! We picked up Cora from Poso Creek on Saturday and she's home in San Diego now :)
