Weight issues
I was looking for advice on dealing with Benny's persistent weight issues. I have him on Nutro Ultra Weight Maintenance food using a little less then the recommended size twice daily. He receives no treats except for the occasional baby carrot. We walk at least 1/2 mile every day and play fetch for about 20 minutes at night. MY vet tested him for a thyroid condition but it came back negative. Any suggestions?

I don't use Nutro anymore for Bella. They changed the recipe a while back and it didn't agree with her. I moved her to "Blue Buffalo. Shes about a year and a half and I feed her 1/2 cup in the AM and 1/2 in the evening. I would suggest cutting Benny back. If I use Bella as an example and she continues to have weight issue, I would cut her back to 1/3 in the AM and 1/2 in the evening, wait and see if that reduces her weight. If not, I would cut the evening back to 1/3 as well. It sounds like Benny is getting good excerise. Corgis just have weight issues all the time.
