Help! My pup is biting me

It's not hard, she doesn't break the skin, but her teeth are sharp and it does hurt. How do I get her to stop biting me? I try to get her to chew on a toy or even old towel but no go. It's always my hands/wrists.

Christine, how old is your pup? Biting with those sharp little teeth is very normal for a pup. Best thing to do is yell "ouch!" very loud when she hurts you--and quit playing with her. This is what Mom would do to "discipline" a pup. But really, give it a few weeks, and she really will get over this stage! I am going to have to go through this again soon--will be getting a new pup after Christmas. My Scout (now 8) was a real nipper, and it took a while with him!

She's almost 6 months old and I've had her for 2 months now. I do try to stop playing with her but now her new thing is jumping on the couch and trying to eat my hair. Sometimes she leaps at me, mouth open.

Sorry but I have not been on My Corgi for awhile. We just added a new 9 wk old pup to our family, a tri-color PWC girl!

Since your pup is already 6 months old, seems like that is time for her to stop the biting behavior! Has she been to any training? Finding a good trainer might be a good idea--one that uses positive reinforcement.
