There are 2 Corgis in Spokane that need a home. Here is the listing on Craigslist. http://spokane.craigslist.org/pet/2792147430.html

We also get to take our puppy home at 10 weeks at the end of December! We're all the way up in Whatcom county, but Les works down in Vancouver. Maybe we could make it, too! Sometime in Jan? :)

They don't mind it at all! It would be nice to meet up.

yup, you got it!  16 weeks is when she can get her rabies and her final set of shots. After that you can take her to a park without having to worry about her getting sick, but it's still better to ease them into socialization rather then take them to a packed dog park! There is a small dog park near the point defiance zoo that you can bring her too once she has had her shots, I rarely see other dogs there so I use it as a place to train my pups

@Tara Patterson: sounds like a plan! I believe she will have an initial set of shots when I pick her up at 10 weeks and I believe there are two more rounds after that? Last one around 16 weeks?

@Tucker and Abby: if they don't mind being nibbled at by a young pup, then I don't see the age difference being a problem! I am a first time Corgi owner and I'm still learning a lot. The opportunity to socialize the pup and also get more insight from someone experienced would be great.

We are in Kitsap, so we could meet up. My twins are a little older though - they are 7.

I am in pierce county, once she's up to date on shots we could do play dates if you would like.  I have two corgi-aussies. One will be a year old on Dec 16 and the other will be 6 months old on Christmas.

Anyone in the Kitsap county or Pierce county area who would be interested in socializing the pups or setting playdates? Chloe will be 10 weeks at the end of December when I bring her home and I'd like to start socializing her soon thereafter. I understand dog parks are not such a great idea until they're a little older.

Does anyone else bring their babies to the steilacoom dog park?
