Mocha came into our lives shortly after our wedding back in 2002, we soon added Vienna to keep Mocha company.
Mocha graduated with a CGC and held the position of Ambassador in conduct with foreign canine relations. Mocha was diagnosed with Stage 5 Lymphoma in April, he crossed the rainbow bridge on July 30th 2012.
Vienna received her GED from petsmart university and served as Secretary of Defence in our Corgidom. Vienna was diagnosed with stage 5 Lymphoma in August 2012, she joined Mocha at the bridge just before the last day of the Mayan calendar - Dec 20th, 2012.
We continue to foster, rehab and place rescue corgis in need.
I got Toby and Lola from Pet's Second Chance - a great group in St. Louis MO. I have had dogs in my life for over 40 years. Starting with two German Shepards and now the two Corgis. They are so funny together - watching them move and walk together...
The costumes were made by friends of mine and I love them! They wore them to a Corgi Fun day that Linda Moore had last November. It was a very special day for us because Molly (the one in green) was almost 15 years old and was just loving the event. A few days later she started having seizures and we lost her-she was a very special girl
I think Bonnie is mostly Corgi on the inside but she does howl at sirens & can be stubborn when she decides not to do something. She is very territorial & protects her "herd" fearlessly. She is a rescue dog from Pets Second Chance (PSC STL Corgis) also a member of this group.
Thanks was trying to figure out if you were in Calif or Florida. Was in Flordia for a wedding and honeymoon in July plus was working down there in April. The company I work for brought two other companies in Eastern Florida. Carolyn's sister live near Orlando so we get down there from time to time...
Thank you for the welcome. Yes, my partner and I have our hands full with our four Corgis. However, if we had the means to do so we would have more Corgis.
Hi Sam - yup, Canadian right down to the fur. Lived in San Diego for five years and will probably go back one day, Corgi in tow. Great website - thanks for making it!!
I watched some of your videos last night, and they are great! I'm going to have to get out my digital video camera and get to work.
Regarding your question about my job, I write software for process control applications in the oil and chemical industry. I have always enjoyed writing software, and I have managed to get assignments that allow me to combine my interest in software design with my engineering background.
Thank you. This is Dudley at about 7 months old. I'm kinda partial to him. He's on the injury list too but no collar or cast or anything. Dudley had surgery for elbow dysplasia caused by premature growth plate closure. We go back to the MU Vet School next week for our 1 month follow up appointment.
Thanks Sam! Your videos are great...I especially like the batlting corgis. I'm a first-time corgi owner of 2 weeks. Clive was rescued from a shelter and I adopted him from Pet's Second Chance. Considerd purchasing a puppy but I am so glad I did this instead. Regards, Liz
Great site! I got your friend invite, but can't figure out how to accept it. Anyway, check out ths website....
http://www.zippyweb.com/ some funny stuff on there.
You've only had this up for a week???!!!! Congratulations! It looks to be doing really well. (I thought it had been up and running for some time)
My husband lived in San Diego for 25 years before we moved up here to look after my father - he misses it terribly (I miss parts of it too) I never really found it overly friendly down there but, it wasn't really anti-Canadian - just.....off somehow - you know what I mean? Like I didn't fit in - or I was missing something everyone else knew.....I don't know, I never have been able to explain it :):):)
Well, we really just started a foundation class about 3 weeks ago. We get to meet once a week for an hour, but I work with her outside of class as much as I can. Right now, we're working more on handling, and getting them used to some of the equipment. We really won't get to start working on the jumps and tunnels and things until the beginners class. This is really more to teach me than it is to teach her! :)
I'm in a group on Facebook called "I own a Corgi!" or something to that extent. I check up on it every now and then to see new pictures, and somebody had uploaded a video of their two corgis playing. There was an ad at the bottom of the video for mycorgi.com, so I went to check it out, and liked what I saw! I mean, you seriously can't go wrong with corgi clubs. ;)
Thanks for the welcome! I found out about this site from the people who are having the picnic in Melbourne. I'm so glad she included it in her email! I've been wanting to talk to other corgi owners, but until now there wasn't much out there except info on the breed.
Do you know what time the picnic starts? I only work until noon that day so maybe I can still make it. Have you made contact with the "Sunshine Corgi club"? It is based out of Vero Beach. I've heard they have a small get-together in a local park once a year. Maybe they would like to have other Corgi events.
Hi Sam,
It's so fun to find like-minded corgi owners. Yep, we see God's fingerprints every day. We feel like this new home and little town is a gift of His graciousness... so like him. I need to get out and get some autumn shots.
Thanks for the welcome! This is a fabulous site, I don't know why it took us so long to find it!! And yes, there are quite a few corgi owners in the Bay Area. In fact we just had our SF get together today, there were about 20-30 Pems and Cardigans there. I want to post some pix here later, where's the best place to do that on this site? Thx in advance! :)
Hi Sam!
One of the member brought it up when commenting Bryson's photo... and I think we should start a corgi calender and you can sell it on this site and make some money!
You can send out a post for photo submission! What do u think?
Hey Sam, yes! I'm a Hong Konger as well :) And I have family in Toronto too, small world, huh? And thanks for checking out Bryson's blog! As you can see we enjoy doing stuff with Bryson and blogging about them. We have no idea your website's been up for only a few weeks, you already have 100+ members, grea job! I'll post a link of mycorgi.com to the SF corgi group on Yahoo. We went to the SF corgi group yesterday and attended a corgi herding instinct test this morning, so we've seen 50+ corgis in the last 24 hours! I'm sure there're a lot of corgi owners who'd love to know more about your site. Keep it up!
