hi! thank you!! yes it's definitely his favorite spot in the car but we don't let him ride up there anymore...we figured it was dangerous :( wow you have a huge family! your babies are so cute!! we also have a bassett hound-I see that you have 2 half bassetts....how cool!! happy new year!
  • Brittani

thanks alot! its great seeing all the diff looking corgis on here. they are so friggin CUTE!
  • Brian Davis

Thanks for your advice :) Brynn tries to herd the cats but they just give her a few swats and she backs away so we keep them all together .If they need time out , they head upstairs .
We plan on getting Brynn in school as soon as she is finished with her shots , etc.. She is growing so fast and have found that walking her a few times a day has really helped her mellow out a bit :)
  • Miss Jane

Thank you Corgi Mom. I hope to learn more tips and tricks in this community. Please don't hesitate to share anything new for a newbie.
  • BENZO and QUEENIE

Thank you for your comment! You are very lucky to have lots of cats and dogs. We are planning to get another dog so that Benzo won't be too lonely. We are debating if we should get another corgi or beagle. Hope everything is well.
  • Kevin Luke

Hi Corgi Mom. Happy New Year to you. Pictures of Miso are just posted. :) To be honest, I'm not sure how I came up with the name Miso. I think its because she's the same color as the soup and its cute sounding. Gosh you have a lot of animals. Do they all get along?
  • Kimberly Walsh

Hi Corgi Mom! Thanks for the add! You sound like you have a full house. Nothing like furkids to keep you hopping! I see you are a vet - my son just got back from Iraq a few days ago. Can't wait for him to visit so he can see our Tabitha!
  • Colleen Cuzzone

Thanks for the welcome! I am really glad I discovered Corgis. I never heard of them until my horse trainer bought a little Corgi puppy--and I fell in love. A few years later, I caved in and bought my first one. I never knew I could love a dog(s) so much!
  • Sylvia & Timmy

Thanks Corgi Mom! Timmy is one big corgi that makes my heart smile. He loves going on his visits too. that's one of the reasons we're learning tricks now, cause everyone loves him and can't help smiling at his stature and attitude. We belong to Prescription Pets, based out of Redding, CA, but they also cover the Humboldt County area, here where we live.
  • Dominique

    Thanks!
looks like fun here. i can't wait to start showing off my "B"...
  • Margaret

I am not sure how all of this works. We just got our Corgi on last Friday. He is 1 year old. He is a great little dog. We had another corgi for 14 years. This new little guy is afraid of walking down the steps. He just won't do it. Any ideas of how I can train him to walk down the steps. His original owner did not walk him with a leash and did not wear a collar. So we have lots to teach him.

    Thanks, Margaret
  • Kristen

Thanks for your comments about Basil. He was the best and I miss him terribly. I've got a lot to learn bout this site and hope to have pictures up soon>
  • Andrea

Thank you for the welcome, and Cricket says thanks for the compliments :)
  • Buckley's folks

Thanks for the welcome! Unfortunately, Buckley also thinks that he is terribly handsome, and flaunts it to strangers whether they want to pay attention to him or not. : )
  • New Corgi Mom

Thank you for the welcome it is nice to know there are people who can help me when I have questions!!!
  • Steve

Thanks! I can't wait to pickup my pup this weekend. This site has been valuable in helping me prepare. Looking forward to sharing my experiences.....

First let me thank you for serving Iraq. Without you and all your fellow service men and women our UNITED STATES may not be The Land of the Free. But thanks to you we are the Land Of the Free and The home of the BRAVE! Brave ones like you!
Hawaii is the only state in the Union that does NOT allow dogs and cats into their state without a 6 month quarantine. You will have to have a health certificate from your vet within 30 days of your travel. You will want to get this just a few days before you fly so it will last for the whole trip. They are good for 30 days. Tank will have to have a current Rabies shot. That is what Hawaii is worried about. They have NO Rabies and want to keep it that way. You will have to fly into Ohau to be checked into the state. I'm not sure of what happens from here on to be cleared to visit the state. Go to this website and it will answer most of your questions.

If you SEARCH - service dogs Hawaii you can get lots more information. I just got back from Kona. I didn't find all this out until it was to late to take Scooter with me. So she had to stay home with "Dad". She sure let me know about it when I got back home. This was the first tme I didn't have her with me and it was awful! My next trip will be to Mexico. So I need to start researching for this trip. I really want to take her then. But I don't know if she can go EVERYWHERE in Mexico like she can in the US. This trip will be 2 weeks. So I really don't want to leave her that long.
Well I hope this helps you!
  • Christine & Fargo

Thanks, hopefully we'll get our corgi when we get into a new apartment later this year.

Thanks for the welcome - we are happy to have found such a good bunch! We have two kitties of our own, Sophie and Seitzer. Sometimes we think we are cats ourselves...

    Hi,

Bladder control is at 6 months? Thank God he is potty pad trained and only "oopsies" here and there. Mostly when he gets excited.

As sick as it sounds... I love him so much I love his poop. ROFL.

  • Bethany

Thank you for the welcome! Your corgis are so precious. And I'm sorry about my backround. It is a little hard to see!
  • Bailey Big B

Hi there and thank you for the compliment! He sure is a stubborn little cuss but smart as a whip. He is a great joy to me and my fiance. Looks like you have a whole menagerie of pets! And you are a southerner now too!
  • Amanda

Thanks for the welcome! This is the cutest website. I didn't know corgis were so popular. I guess people can't help but like them. :)
  • Amanda

My husband is in the Air Force by the way. We live on Lackland AFB in San Antonio. You all must have a lot of property to have all those doggies! Not to mention the cats! We have 2 cats and 2 dogs but we're only supposed to have 2 pets in base housing here so the cats are top secret. hehe! Anyway, we keep it very clean-our friends with kids have WAAAAAAY more stains and mess than we do so I'm not worried about getting in trouble-at least I hope not. =)
  • Jesus Marinez

    thanks for the comments.
  • Apollo & Daphne

This is Des. And she has me wrapped around already. in fact, she and big bro have been romping and when she gets scared she runs to me to be lifted up.
  • Ruth Bergloff

Hi Corgi Mom! I looked at him and thought Pancake was a very suiting name because he's the color of pancakes. My next corgi will be named Waffles!
  • Amanda

I feel like such a youngin. I was born in 81. lol! Anyway, I do agree that time flies no matter what your age. I can't believe how fast 07 went by. It was just a flash!
  • Mallori Shortridge

    Well thank you!
  • New Corgi Mom

I had a friend suggest placing a puppy pad by the door for accidents and to teach her to go to the door to use this then move the pad outside to teach her to go outside do you have any suggestions on this? or dog litter?
  • Linda Baker

Thanks! These guys are my joy
  • Frances

How are you and your kids doing ? Still shocked at what a job you do with your brood . Your an inspiration :))
  • Francine

Wow, how did you end up with such a large family??? I bet life is always exciting at your house! I'm going to check out your photos now...I have never seen a Catahoula Leopard dog before. : )
  • Sam & Maximus

Thank you for the welcome. This little biting, barking, spazzy, strong attitude little guy does have my whole family wrapped around his little paw, and he knows it. Looks like you have quite the gang, all adorable too. I used to have a pembroke/brussels griffon mix that looked a lot like moira, He got pretty chubby for his size too. He was the sweetest little guy, lost him in April, heart breaking. Maximus is our new little baby. We love him too.
  • Chloe and Franny [the dog]

    your dogs are so cute!
  • Stephanie Hochuli

DM is degenerative Myelopathy. It is a disease similar to Cerebal Palsy in humans. Starts with the rear legs in paralysis and works its way up the body.. Always fatal, no cure, you can slow it down to a certain degree. Since Bridget is 13, she is not really good at trying out a cart. There is no pain involved, so we just help her to walk and keep her lean and let her exercise as much as possible.
  • Kim

Already very amused with the community here, thank you for the welcome!
  • Ashley

Thanks for the welcome! Rhett actually had a littermate that was a red and white -- we thought about if we got her naming her Scarlett!
  • Kim

Yeah wow I never even new that was something that could happen! I guess I needed to catch up on dog curriculum! ha, we could surely use it CGC.
  • ♥ AdEle
