oh my good gracious is your corgi ever cute!!!!! <3

    Hi Tina,

Best of luck to you with your first few months with Ein. Corgis are so full of energy at that age. Be sure to upload more pictures when you can. He's just adorable!!
  • Tina

Thanks everyone. Ein can be pretty lazy actually. He gets little spurts of energy where Ein 500 is seen (he runs around our house through the kitchen, living room, and dining room). He doesn't seem to enjoy walks all that much yet and when we take him outside he is more likely to lay down and chew on his rawhide. We've just started taking him to a PeeWee Play session so he can get more interaction with other dogs, so hopefully we'll see some more of his playfulness.
  • Molly

What a beautiful boy! Sounds like Ein and Molly are about the same age. He'll get the walking thing down pat before you know it and then he'll be taking you for walks.

Puppy classes are great! You'll both learn a lot.

Molly is our first dog too.

    Welcome Tina and Ein!

Hey Tina, do you and Ein ever go to the alimagnet dog park in Burnsville? If you were interested in getting together for a corgi play date I am trying to get one going for those of us that live so close to it. Let me know if you are interested.
  • Tina

I am thinking about taking him to a dog park soon, and it seems like alimagenet might be our best option. I don't know for sure yet how he might react to all that, I'm hoping I can talk my husband into going with me tomorrow morning, sometime when it isn't a peak time for dogs. I would love to get together some weekend out there, letme know.

hi what a cutie. My partner jaxi and I have the two tri-colored. We got Cagney from a rescue 6 weeks ago. We added another, Chapin 3 weeks ago. I had a corgi for 8 years that died of kidney failure in March. I have always loved corgis. They are super smart and easy to train. We are members of a Corgi Club in Minneapolis. We meet once a month to socialize the dogs. It is pretty cool!
  • Tina

Eric and I talked it over and decided Ein isn't quite ready for the dog park. He hasn't learned to come on command yet, so it might be a bit risky.

I do want Ein to socialize more though, I'll keep looking for other ways.

Hey there ... this is Jaxi Becky's other half. The corgi club is:

    Ein is a cutie!

Well we took Ein to the dog park last Saturday and he did very well. He played with the other dogs (even the big ones). He accidentally fell in the water and wasn't too happy about that, but he had a great time. He was such a tired puppy! Now we have to wait a bit because Ein just got neutered Thursday and they say to keep the area clean for 14 days. Ein was very dirty after the dog park, so we have to wait a bit.
  • Mikko (& Danielle too)

Hey! it was great meeting you guys at the dog park today, hopefully next time Mikko will be a bit more "social" with the other corgis. :) Hope we can all meet up again soon, thanks again!
  • Chrissy

Hi Tina, Ein, and Husband (sorry I forgot his name)! Thanks for letting me know that you were going to be out there so that we could get together like that. Hunter and I had a ton of fun and he was very tired leaving the dog park (for like the first time). He played hard! Hopefully Ein will like the water now and if not, well then he won't get so dirty and that is a plus : ) We will have to get together again sometime!
  • Chrissy

Hey Tina, I thought I saw you on the Corgi Guile site! Are you going this weekend? I don't have a permit but Hunter and I are going anyway. I've heard that they don't check for permits.
  • Chrissy

Oh Man!! : ( The poor little guy! He looked like he was having and probably did have a ton of fun too. I hope he's okay and his leg heals with no additional problems. No day care, no dog park, no long walks. . . . how will he survive? And yes how will you survive? Hopefully he doesn't drive you to nuts will wanting to play all the time for the next 10 days.
  • Chrissy

Hey Tina and Ein! Are you going to be able to make it out to the Burnsville dog park this saturday to meet with the rest of the MN corgi group? We are going to be there from 2-4. I know that there will be at least 7 corgis out there : )
  • Becky H.

HI! I'm planning on going to Alimagnet dog park in Burnsville on Saturday (the 25th) around noon. If you can make it, let me know!

I wasn't able to attend last week's gathering, so I'm trying to set up another meet and greet.
  • Becky H.

It was nice meeting you and Ein today! I am sorry that Brownie wouldn't stop humping Ein. Jeez - no manners! haha
Midgee and Brownie will sleep well tonight, I'm sure.
Hope to see you again sometime. Have a good weekend : )

It isn't by a chance a 4 month old male that is currently in blaine? He is up to date on all of his shots and super sweet and cute. The current owners are getting rid of him because the little guy is afraid of their two big Rotwielwers (mispelled) and they want him to be happy so they are trying to find him a new home. He is great with kids and other dogs. He is posted on Craigslist : )
  • Chrissy

Good Luck and if that doesn't work and you're interested in that lillte guy I was talking about, let me know!
