About Me:
I, Joanne, work as an Architectural & Interiors Designer, and my boyfriend Keith is a Marketing Director. Range is our first Corgi together and soon we will get another one as a playmate/sister for Range.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Range is from Texas. Born July 17th, 2007. He was a birthday present to me from my awesome boyfriend. He's like our first born. Hahaha!! We named him Range, because I wanted a Range Rover for my birthday, but instead I got him (so much better), so we named him Range.

Range is smarter than a lot of people I know. He's such a clown and he makes us laugh. He's such a fast learner. He can: Roll Over, Sit, Speak, Add, Multiply, High-Five, Stay, Come, Play Dead, does the "Put your hands up! Bang!!" trick on demand. We're trying to teach him how to crawl, but he gets it mixed up with roll over... I swear he understands everything we say...
I have:

Welcome Joanne & Keith and Range (?). Beautiful little guy you have there. It is hard to stop with just one!
  • Sam Tsang

    Welcome Joanne, Keith and family!
  • Karen & Bailey

Love the superman outfit. We're also in SF - do you attend the monthly corgi meetup??! Bailey will finally be old enough to attend next month!

What's his name? How old is he?

    =)
  • Geri & Sidney

Isn't he cute? Sidney is also 10 months. They love to learn and will keep you on your toes, hee hee!
  • william grote

The main problem with Corgis is that 1 is never enough!
  • Karen & Bailey

hi Range! And Joanne & Keith! Well it gets pretty lonely now at our house too now that he doesn't have puppy class and he is my only dog and I live alone! But meeting up would be great. We will be attending the meetup on June 14th @ mountain lake park at 1pm in the city. They only do it once a month, wish they did it more often. But you could post something in the Bay Area corgi group and we could get a meetup together more often.. =P. I want to take Bailey every weekend to Fort Funston. Or even Ocean Beach! He's not good off-leash yet cause he's still so young, but I don’t know of any good fenced-in areas!

But long story short, wed love to meet up so our boys can play together!
  • Alfredo

im sorry but all of them have deposits. I can let you know incase someone backs out.
  • Nikon

thanks! can't wait to get him this weekend! :D
  • Karen & Bailey

Bailey's now 5 months and I've been taking him to Fort Funston, the meetups and occasionally Ocean Beach. Where do you guys usually take Range? We should meetup! =) There needs to be a corgi meetup more often.. =P
  • Karen & Bailey

Oh and GG Park! =) - Stow Lake area.
  • Karen & Bailey

The corgi meetups are every 2nd saturday of the month at 1pm at Mountain Lake Park - 8th & Lake Streets (a block down from California) in the Richmond District. We had an impressive group show up for Bailey's first outing. It was GREAT! The next one will be July 12th!

We go to Ocean Beach usually on my fridays off - in the morning 10am ish. I'm working this friday, but well probably be there next friday! . We usually go to the furthest north area below the Cliff House - whjere dogs are allowed off leash. You can't miss a corgi! =) I'm goign to try to make it a habit to go to Fort Funston every sunday around 11am ish too - so you can find us there! =)

Where's the Richmond dog park - in Richmond, CA or you mean the district in the city? lol. if the district, we can stop by sometime -when do you normally go and is it fenced in, near traffic, etc?
  • Karen & Bailey

Oh yea and for the corgi meetup, enter on 8th and Lake and take right after you head up the stairs and you'll see the corgis. =) Most of the corgis show up around 1:30-2pm.
  • Karen & Bailey

WOW! That place looks GREAT. =) Quite a drive though, plus factoring in toll and gas prices nowadays.. lol. but oneday, we will get over there!
  • Katelyn

    Cute corgi!!
  • Karen & Bailey

Bailey @ I go to Fort Funston ALMOST every Sunday around 11-12. =P thats about 95% of the time! We usually make a loop around starting from the upper parking lot, down past the watering hole, down to the bench and then loop back up the hill and past the watering hole and back to teh parking lot! =P takes us about an hour. we stay there longer if bailey finds a friend.

we, however, probably won't be there this sunday cause Bailey's getting neutered on Friday - he will be on strict lockdown! well most likely make it on the 24th! well see you then (ill leave you a comment if we change our minds!)
  • Karen & Bailey

hey! and we missed you at the corgi meetup this past saturday! hope to see you in september ?- 13th to be exact!
  • Jayyo

    At the DeYoung?
Yes that was me and my uncle with the yoyo club!
  • Karen & Bailey

I think it might work out on a Friday. We'll see and let you know!
  • Karen & Bailey

and my guy friends dont want me to neuter Bailey either.. or at least have him mate once before.. but HELLO but I'm like.. he'll live longer and be less agressive and will have less chances for health problems.

you should do it in secret, betcha he wont even notice.. LOL =X j/k
  • Lexi

YES! They are so awesome and a ton of fun! It's funny - I've only seen one corgi in Sac since I moved here a year ago... and not one since we got Kuma - though it's only been two months.

And thank you! You've got a cutie too! I just can't get over how adorable these dogs are.
  • Furpants McGee

It's funny to see the temperment differences between the cardigans and the pembrokes...my neighbor has 2 pembrokes that are very hyper...Abby just sits there and looks at them thinking "why are you like that??" LOL. Our Abby fits our lifestyle better that way.
On a side note, I see we have the same bedspread from Ikea :P FUNNY!!!
  • Karen & Bailey

not tomorrow! =P Bailey's getting neutered and I can't pick him up until 4pm, and I know he'll he groggy and in pain. =(

I did take a hour long walk along ocean beach with him today, but it was spontaneous. lol. otherwise i would have told you about it!

thats great about range. =D im glad he loves it there, i think every dog does. bailey is a little too curious for his own good though - he likes enticing other dogs to chase him, and esp since hes NOT neutered, other dogs try to cahse him down and tell him whos boss. so its bad! especially since bailey will run into the ocean just to run after a dog (thus the lifejacket). but when hes on dry land, he does great! =D

our fur balls will meet someday!
  • Geri & Sidney

I looked at Range's pics, and you sure are right! He and Sidney could be twins. Sid turned one in July (we think the 11th) and it looks like Range turned one just under a week later! Congrats on your beautiful baby.
  • Amanda Poon

Hi there! We usually do not go out to Fort Funston, but perhaps now we have a reason to. I haven't heard of that meet-up but I've heard of the one that happens every second Saturday of the month at Mountain Lake Park. I have work though.

I think it's great that you're planning on getting a buddy for Range (who is dashing, by the way). I wish that I could've gotten Cow and his brother Flaps but that would've been too much! Let me know how your search goes.
  • Karen & Bailey

we went last sunday, and saw TWO corgis! one tri colored (dont know what name), and another red/white named Emma. =P

Tomorrow is my day off! - so I'm thinking - Fort Funston OR The Beach. Might be Fort Funston! But I usually go to my mom's house for dinner on Fridays (out by the sunset and were not done till about 7pm). Hhaa. Is it dark yet by then? Lol, if so, maybe we can meet up earlier? If not, bailey and I can head over there around 7pm ish and meet you at the watering hole.
  • Karen & Bailey

ok! cant make it tomorrow to the meetup, might be taking the little furman to the east bay redwood park (?!?!) for a hike w/ some friends. haha have you ever been there? i was wondering if there was an entrance/parking fee.

Ok! We'll try to catch you guys sometime next week. The weekdays usually don't work for us, except fridays and weekends. =P
  • Karen & Bailey

Hey Joanna & Keith. CHRIS just added me as a friend - he's in SF and has a litter that he is expecting by the end of next week. I remembered that you were looking for a new addition.... =P
  • Sir Riley of Pembroke

It seems we don't realize how much our pets mean untill you hear news like that! I never thought I would hear those words! He is only 8! I am not believing them however. Thanks for your prayers and thoughts. Riley is doing good, he has good days and bad days but he is strong.
  • CHRIS

Yeah I don't blame you. We figured it would be nice to pair up our corgi just to keep him active and busy while we're away at work. It turns out a lot of things were actually going on while we were away. Now we're expecting Lexi to give birth within this week. Her stomach is gettin bigger everyday. It's almost touching the ground now. It's gotten to a point where she's having a hard time walking so she just lays there. I'll post up pics when they're born. Hopefully I'll be lucky enough to be awake when she starts pushing them out so I can post a video.
  • Karen & Bailey

Hi! Target is where we got that hat - they're on clearance now too for $1.24. i saw one or two lying around at Target(forget which one) - there was a red/brown one left and a blue/pink one. hahahaha.

did you get your little one a halloween costume?? Bailey's going to be a PIRATE! (we also got it at Target!)
  • Karen & Bailey

hahaa. he can just be a corgi for halloween. thats cute enough! =)
  • Juel

What a Beautiful little one! i like your drapes also.
  • Karen & Bailey

haha thanks! =D lol hes such a stud muffin, isnt he? =P
  • Carly & Libby

I always wanted to teach Libby the "Bang your dead" trick. She's a little too old for it now. If you're in Clovis I sometimes take Libby to the dog park.
  • Mochi

yes yes pls Mochi needs a playmate bad! she got all her shots and is ready for some fun. When do you want to meet???
  • Carly & Libby

    It's in the Woodward park:

Let me know when you're going and maybe I'll see you there!
  • Karen & Bailey

free range chicken? =P i just had to say that when i saw your profile pic!! =)
  • Karen & Bailey

Hahah we went back after halloween.. And every costume was 90% off. Not much left.. Maybe one or two . But we managed to pick up a purple monkey costume and a bumblebee one for $1 each.. Hey u cant beat $1 - haha he can wear them for fun!
  • Carolyn Boynton

We should have puppies in May. If your Corgi is a male you will need to get a female. Two males tend to fight. Keep my number and call me in April. 650-296-6465 Carolyn
  • Carolyn Boynton

Yes, we go to both Fort Funston & the dog park in FC. We prefer the one in San Mateo off Third, it's much larger. But not this month, our Dorothy is coming into season and we don't want to start a problem. Love to meet some time. Has Range been fixed? Is he less aggressive? Our number is 650-296-6465. Call us in Feb and we can meet. Carolyn
  • Chester

ur from SF!!! we haven't ran into many corgi's in the bay area. Chester doesn't like wearing clothes either but i kinda forced him to get into his halloween costume. u can tell from his very excited facial expression :) do u know of any events coming up in the area?
  • Sir Riley of Pembroke

Thanks so much! Cancer is a very hard thing to deal with! Sorry about your grandfather! my grandma just passed away last week so I really hope when I get the puppy in Feb that my year can get better! Sometimes life throws hard things in your path but I am doing a lot better! I tell you what though loosing a dog (your best friend) is just as hard as loosing a real family member! They really are family!
  • Sir Riley of Pembroke

Range sounds like he is a really smart dog! He reminds me so much of Riley! I love the video when he was a pup! That was so cute! I love when they turn their heads at you when you ask them questions its so funny!
  • BENZO and QUEENIE
