Thank you so much!! She was actually the runt of the litter so her ears developed way before the others. She has been a blessing! Thanks again for your comments.
Hi, thanks for the welcome message :) I am really loving this website and the fact that I can look at Corgi pictures all day! Your Corgis are too cute. How lucky you are that you can have four Pembrokes!!
Thanks for the welcome! Your dogs are beautiful too. You have quite a big family there... I have trouble keeping just one entertained sometimes! Have a great weekend!
Hi Corgi Mom! Thanks for the welcome! You and your partner are truly doing fantastic works with your wonderful crew. They are all just adorable. That Tank, always has a smile on his face. :) I am so looking forward to my little one. Tomorrow the breeder will be posting updated pictures. One more reason to look forward to Saturdays! Hopefully I will have a new picture to share. :)
I was just enjoying looking through your photos. The dogs all look so happy. I also wanted to thank you for your service to our country. You've made so many positive committments with your life! Thanks for the inspiration!
I've always heard people say they get worse when they bring there allergies/sinus'/ and asthma to arizona.....Oh, I know the area in Phoenix you are talking about......some old stoppin' grounds back in the day.....thanks for your words....Lynne
Thanks for the comment on the pic. you think it's ok to submit the pic even though she's not by herself?
wonderful dogs you have their. it's nice that they let you live in their house with them...hehe. that is what we all are...slaves to the corgi. they train us well.
Hi Corgi Mom - thanks for the welcome and kind words. My little Miss Ki loved her kittie friends so I am sure she is happily herding them all right now! You have quite a herd yourself - wow, I would love to have so many sweeties around - it must be fun.
I agree, you can't have just one Corgi... I have a tile in my kitchen that reads "time spent with animals is added to your life" I truly believe that. I just wish I could figure out how to work from home and still be able to afford to feed everyone!
Thanks for the comment :D wow lots of pets you got xD share? haha, i don't think i can handle that many pets :( My corgi at the moment is enough for me to handle lol
Thank you! Eero is a Finnish name. It has a number of pronunciations depending on location, but I pronounce it like "aero" with a little bit more of an "e" sound. He is named after architect and designer Eero Saarinen, who designed the St. Louis arch, because he's so curvy and long and unusual!
I don't know how you do it with all of those corgi's, but I am sure they make you smile everytime you think of them. They all look very happy that they hit the puppy lottery with you as their owner.
thank you!! yours are very adorable too. i love the pictures. otley lays the exact same way as yours with the little feet sticking out of the butt fluff!!
Thanks for the welcome! We love our Willow. She is quite the 'herder' as was my Australian Shepard, Hank, that I had years ago. When anyone runs, she feels the need to follow them and bark...it is cute if you understand the nature of corgis, but can be scary for those who don't know her. She definitely has an attitude around bigger dogs,,,let's them know she takes NO crap from them!! :)
I see you are a vet assistant. My 11 yr old daughter wants to be a veterinarian, absolutely LOVES wolves and wants to save them all from extinction as well as every other animal! Any advice for her? I have had the vet assistants at our vet's office tell her to be an assistant,,,that you get to do as much with the animals as a vet, but cannot prescribe meds or administer meds...but they love what being assistants.
Thanks for the comment on stress shedding. Just a few questions?
Is Clomicalm something that I would just give before the ear drops? or would he have to be on it all the time? Right now we give ear drops every 2nd day.
By the way, when I gave the eardrops tonight, he was shaking and started dropping hairs within a minute or two. So I definitely due believe it is due to stress.
Do you know anything about allergies? THe vet has prescribed Burrows steriod solution for his ears. He started out using 1/2 cc twice a week. After 3 weeks and not enough improvement, he upped it to the same doseage every 2nd day. We have finished 1 week of this and don't know if it is really helping him enough. Is there something else I should be asking the vet for. What about a steriod shot? or a stronger med?
Thanks so much for any help you can give me. I really appreciate it. Joy and Butter
Hi, my dog has been diagnosed with ear allergies. His ears were scoped and look great. I looked up that Clomicalm and don't really want him on tranquilizers; the less drugs the better.
right now he is on Burrows ear drops, 1/2 cc every 2nd day...he still shakes his head and sometimes runs to the sofa or bed and rubs his head into it. Sometimes he briefly rubs his head on the floor. Is this normal after 5 weeks on these drops. WE are going away next week and will change his food after that. we don't want to create any more stress for him when we leave him for the 1st time.
Is there any other med treatment for ear allergies? I hate to go to the vet again or phone him again...I am sure he is tired of hearing from us.
He was on Burrows twice a week for about 3 weeks, and every 2nd day for about 10 days now. Is it working, do you think? One time we missed the dose by 3 days and he went haywire again.
Thanks for all your help, I appreciate it.
Thanks so much for the advice!! It makes it easier to plan for the trip. I'll look into that other med you mentioned. Thanks again, I know you must be busy!
