Welcome to another PA cardi owner. Very cute puppy! Blue Merles are so beautiful and interesting looking. See you are on the opposite side of the state though we travel thru your area on the way to Ohio many a times. Stay in Washington sometimes.
Soooo sweet, it brings back memories of 7 years ago. Those cute little pink pads on the paws. Is he related to the Fairesteed Cardis? Greensboro, NC. I think he resembles Pumpkin alot. Enjoy him.
I knew it! Robin has georgeous Corgis. Pumpkin's mother was -I'm in it for love and I have to check the father's name but my papers are in Florida. He has a devilish look and so did Pumpkin (still does) she was a real terror as a baby. Have fun with him ^..^
Isn't your baby a cutie? Did you look at the pictures of Dudley when he was a baby? http://www.mycorgi.com/photo/1150197:Photo:6390?context=user
They do grow into the ears! http://www.mycorgi.com/photo/1150197:Photo:213316?context=user
I think Niko's father is Pumpkin's brother. I have to ask Robin since Pumpkin's papers are in storage in Florida & I'm in France. Check my page -I'll put up a few of Pumpkin's baby pictures. Happy Thanksgiving.
Ears up at 9 weeks, thats great! Finn's still aren't showy any lift but the breeder told us to give him until 14 weeks before taping so he has two weeks to go. 30 lbs is pretty big for 6 months. He IS a big boy! My Mom has Finn's half brother who is a year old and he is 38lbs. Their Dad is 40lbs! When Finn was weighed a week ago he was 12.6 lbs. He has grown so much just in the month we've had him. He is such a blast to watch. Cardis are such clowns. He's learning very quickly. He already knows come, sit, down, shake and roll over. He's having a hard time learning to walk on a leash though. He will just grab onto it and not let go. He thinks it's a game and it can be quite frustrating at times. Any tips on leash training?
Hi...when did you get your girl? I have been talking to Robin about possibly getting one of her pups later this year. I would love a blue merle boy!
A friend of mine has one of Robin's pups, too - he is a black/white with brindle points, a fluffy.
Wow, even their eyes are very similar....mine has about 1/3 blue in the right eye and the rest brown. A shorter coat, similar amounts of black, and same tone of the grey. The brindle coloring is very light and blends into the rest the same way. Cool!
Have you shown in confirmation before? We got Hoover as a pet, but his breeder asked if I'd like to try showing him. He finished in 8 shows despite having me on the other end of the leash! heh
39 lbs already? The breed standard puts 38 lbs as the upper limit for dogs! He might make the decision to show him in breed for you by outgrowing the standard. Hoover's top weight during his showing was 34 lbs, he weighs 30 1/2 lbs now. He was almost always the smallest dog in the ring, there are definitely overlarge dogs being shown now, bitches too. The mighty Niko! :-D
I know, I can't believe how quickly he has grown. One day he was this little puppy I could hold with one hand, now I have this 28 lb. dog that tires me out from carying him up and down the stairs. :) He's a good boy though and I can't wait to see what kind of grown up he becomes.
Lance is doing good, thanks! Were finally getting some nice weather so weve been able to get out and walk, yay! Cant wait til the nice weather is here for good!.
Hi Stefanie,
Oh yes, you can see the family resemblance in our pups. Have you been showing Niko? Pumpkin just turned 8, where does the time go? She's been a bit lazy the past few weeks since our weather here is extremely hot and she can't go to the beach in August, so we're just waiting until the tourists leave. Then I'll snap more pics of her.
