We are a young couple in our fiftys. Our two legged kids are out on thier own so we devote most of our free time to our four legged ones. We have three, a Great Dane (Joni Bell) a Collie Lab mix (Ollie Ann) and our Corgi Fence Climber mix, (BEAR). We are contractors with United Van Lines and travel all over the U.S.A.. Although, we leave the girls home with the house/dog sitter, Bear never leaves our side.
We rescued Bear from death row at our local dog pound and we both truly believe that he knows it. He is the most loyal dog either of us have ever known and almost always does everything he is told to do. Although, if he does not want to do as he is told he becomes stiff and moves very slow. We call it the robot walk.
Last year Petsmart had a photograph of a Corgi on the cover of it's calender that looked just like Bear and it is our wish to find the owner of the Cover Dog and and hopefully get some mix information.
Hi, noticed a picture at the beach. Does Bear like the water? Taffy chases waves and runs away when water moves towards him. He hates the water. He also hates.... cars, trains, trams, roller blades... birds. possums... anything noisy, big or loud, especially the vacuum cleaner.
Hi, Sheri and the girls are back from Florida. Posted a few pics, trying to figure out how to post the video of Murphie chasing birds and her encounter with a pelican. Had a great time, very relaxing. Felix in Mobile was wonderful. Had my first of many raw oysters. Girls traveled great, only one argument. As long as I loaded them in the car it was fine, Hubby could not do it without Murphie jumping Tucker. They loved looking out from the condo balcony and being on the beach. Will go back next year I hope.
Thank you so much -
Bear reminds me of my first Corgi-cross - my first husband had given him to me, and when I left him, my dog went everywhere with me, I didn't want the ex to get nasty and take my dog!
Howdy right back at ya! My husband is from Texas and I lived there for 21 years, back in Florida and if not for coming back here I would not have found my two baby girls. By the way what a beautiful boy.
Your Bear is awfully cute! I love his coloration, and he has such a dignified face! Good for both you and him, rescuing such a great guy. :) Any ideas what he's mixed with?
Thank you. I had a Welsh Corgi, Missie, and she was the most fantastic companion. She passed last November at the great age of 16. I miss her so much. I found this sight and glad I did. It brings back memories and makes me smile.
Thanks for the friend add! Read that u're a United Van Lines mover. Now if only Singapore was much bigger in land mass, then it'll be swell to work in ur line and hv our corgis just right next to us. Sweet!
I did finally get a couple of pics of Lily up. I know I've never had a dog quite like her. She is great!
I sure enjoyed your pics. Do you know what mix yours is?

Hi
I try very hard to be consistent with her, because if you change a command even once, she thinks it's okay to do it again. My dh is a softie, he was even with the kids. I've always been the bad guy. Especially with HIS kids!
We have a large Lab sized kennel for Lily and that is her safe place. She goes in at night without urging. I usually get up about 4:00 am for my first cup of coffee. She never asks to be out and still sleeps until seven. Good thing! She has too much energy that early and I couldn't face it with my coffee! It really makes you wonder about her life before she came here.
She does love hugs and kisses and I give her plenty. She is such a wonderful dog!

Your entire slide show is a delight! What a sense of humor, great dog and down to earth, fabulous stuff/road trip you are all on! It's hard to single out a particular photograph so, I'd say keep on trucking and please continue sharing your photographs with us. All the best from Williamsburg, VA: Nancy (a very tired chef at this time of year), Bear, Tasha and Linus
Hello fellow Texans! That's one handsome fellow that y'all got there! If you make in down to the Reliant dog show in Houston you'll have to look us up, I have a booth there and the rest of my family and Jack are doing Flyball the entire weekend.
Thank you for your welcome.... love your pooch. I can not recall ever seeing a Corgi being the Secret Service team for the President ! WOW... not that is really something special.
The show is in the middle of July, don't know the exact date yet. How old is Bear? My last Corgi retired from Flyball at 13 1/2 years! I knew someone whose Corgi retired at 14. There is also a Veterans division for dogs 7 & older.
