Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Ginny's came was born in November 2007 and was adopted in January 2008. She is a great dog - full of fun, energy, and smart as a whip. She's grown really fast and is finally making the transition from crazy hyper puppy to a bit more mellow adult dog. She's very smart and independent, but she's ever the social butterfly, and loves saying hi and kissing everyone she encounters.
Ginny loves the snow! She likes rolling in it and making "corgi angels" and scooting her nose through it. She can't get enough of it. But she equally hates her winter coat. I don't make her wear it very much, but in subzero temps, I insist on it. She sees the coat coming out and runs away. Then she looks so depressed.... that's life being a Colorado corgi with a silly overprotective mom!
Her favorite outings include going to the outdoor mall, going down slides at the park, going to the dog park, snuggling at night, playing with her BFF Josie the golden retriever, giving her grandma and grandpa wet willy ear kisses, getting petted by KIDS (oh boy!) and riding in the car.. Her least favorite activies are bathtime, wearing any sort of dog clothes, vaccuum time and having to get her nails clipped.
She's a cute girl!
In May of 2010, I brought home a corgi/jack russell from the shelter and named him Diggory. Since he's so new, I'm still learning about him! I also have a red tabby cat named Weasleby, who tolerates the dogs pretty well, but isn't inclined to playing with them.
winnie finally found a dog she would play with --a 10 week old beagle who was half her size, apparently she has some height hang-ups :) I wish i knew of a puppy play time in our area. I am sure Winnie would love it.
Hi There, Ginny is a doll - what a face! How does she do with your cats? Emmy will be two in June and I have given up on her and my cat ever being buddies, she loves to terrorize him.. the poor kitty! Tracie
Korben is about 1 year and 2 months old now, he loves just about anything with a heart beat! We'll have to see if there is a dog park somewhere in our areas once it gets a little warmer! (looks like its going to snow again this weekend ) I actually live in Westminster, but I just say denver to keep it simple lol
Thank you so much for the compliments! Kiwi is the absolute love of my life. Her eyes are one of my favorite parts of her. Your pup is adorable too! I understand the rewarding and challenging parts of life with a puppy for sure. Good luck with everything!
thanks for the advice! i do have another crate out there for him. even though he likes sleeping in the crate, he wont physically go in there until i carry him in right after he falls asleep..
I can't believe this is from February and I just saw it! Yes, little Gingin is a rescue and her name when I got her was "Ginger" and she could care less about that name so we settled on Gin (Gin and Tonic) or Gingin or Ginny....
I was reading your post about how you came about getting Ginny and it almost brought tears to my eyes. I can picture her watching you walk away.. I think what yousaid an=bout them chosing you is sooo true. Kara totally chose us. I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed your story!!
Hello there... Reese is 6 weeks old, so I have a few more weeks till she comes home. I can't wait for her to be in my daily life! Your corgi is a cutie as well!
Hi Ginny, Thanks for the welcome! Ginny is so cute and just a little older than Maggie. She can be her role model. I'm starting house training after our first few days of adjustment, and I'll be reading your blog with interest!
Thanks-he's a real sweetie. His buddy is Sonny from the "Corgi Farm" where Bubba was born and grew up around Sonny who's about two years older than him. We went to visit with them in September and I grabbed this shot.
she has been turning into a little tazmanian devil!!!!!!! hahaha. she is having difficulties on the housetraining cause when i take her outside, she pees and poops but when she gets inside, she poops even more! i stay outside with her for about an hour to do her business plus she gets walked and when she comes in inside, she wants to play even more!!!! she is just my energizer bunnybutt :) I will take her to do her 3rd vaccination tomorrow. so when am i able to take her to the parks????????????
Oh, I may wait until 5 or 6 months old. It just breaks my heart to hear her whining from the floor cause she can't hope up (we have a loft bed that's about 2 or 3 feet above the ground.) Our Weim just cuddles with me all the time and gets in under the covers too! Grant it, when it is cold outside and he's nosing the covers to get in with me, he will freeze me with his nose. I know Freya at least wants to be a part, but she can't.
Ginny, thank for your support on this LB 5 is the first bill up today and I am hoping our amendment gets attached.it means so much to me that you took the time to send messages. What surprises me is that most states don't address this and it is legal. Thanks again! I'll give you an update later. Do you know Peggy Sieck (Boher) from Seward?
hey there. i was just wondering about the corgi meetup thing at chatfield res. does that happen every staurday at noon?? i usually go there every saturday anyway, but around 10ish or so, but i would totally come later if it meant Dax would be able to hang out with some other corgis!
Hi, thanks for the very kind words about the animals. I just bought another horse, so when I get him back from the trainer, there will be pics of him too. Hope Spring is "springing" out there!!
I enjoyed meeting Ginny at the corgi meetup. What a sweetie! Hope to see you guys at the next one! Also, I believe I was able to get a photo of her! Check it out:
Congrats, That is the fastest that anyone has ever won a Where's Bear Game! And, all the way from Denver we thought that a Cowboys fan would get it right away. Good job!
I just saw that you had your pup on Buffalo Blue, how do they like it? I just ordered a large bag to switch after doing much research and I am wondering if i made the right choice
I thought only puppy can get yeast infection?!!!!! Cause Ho Ho used to have it when he was a baby~~and I took him to the vet,and the vet told me the reason he got infection is because he was young, and his immune system was weak, after he become adult, he will be fine. You should try Epi-Otic Advanced, put 2-3 drops in the ear,and massage it for few minutes,1 time per day,and the yeast will come out, just clean it. After few days, she should be fine.
