About My Corgi(s):
Blaze is a red brindle cardi born on Feb 14, 2007. He is part demon, but in a mostly good way.
We also adopted a lil' grey kitty from the Humane Society on July 11, 2008. His name is Sooty, and Blaze and him truly are "brothers." They alternate between kissing and killing each other.

Yes Blaze and Tina look very much alike, but even more like my Frodo (now 5 years old) a very redbrindle Cardigan:)))

  • Kimberly

LOVE your pics. Love your choice of a name, too. :-D
  • Butter

Thanks for the comment on the video; so you have a Cardigan too!! He is too cute! Does yours put between 1-3 toys in his mouth at the same time because he wants to play with everything at once? Buster does and it cracks me up!
  • Butter

Hi, you mentioned that Blaze does the wave but slower. DO you have a video of him doing it, I would love to see it (or could you make one?) Joy
  • Furpants McGee

thanks for the add...and CUUUTTTEEE CORG!!! I want to eat him he's so cute!
  • Butter

    Thanks, Blaze is awfully adorable!!!!
  • Butter

Wow, you had quite a night. Glad the woman is transferring. Happy we could help cheer you up; hope today is much better for you!!!
  • Butter

Thanks so much. I really love them; actually they are fishing shacks at the wharf, used for housing lobster traps and such stuff. People don't actually live in them. I think they look really quaint, too.
  • Butter

By rustic houses are you talking about the 3 brown houses....if not, there is a seaside scene of a fishing village, maybe you are talking about that.
  • Butter

Thanks so much...yes, they are the lobster shacks. I love those 3 too, they are the scenery around here. No one else is as crazy about them as we are; I guess we are kindred spirits. Glad she wasn't there today; I can only imagine how stressful all this must be for you!!!! Hope things get better soon.
  • Butter

Hi there, I just came to your page and I am hearing music...where is it coming from? I don't see a playlist...
I saw one picture of the houses on Martha's Vineyard from your 2nd message. I couldn't get anything to come up for the 1st message.

Nova Scotia, my home province, particularly places in Lunenburg county reminds me of those houses. It is beautiful.

What are those Long John Slivers that your boyfriend eats? Even thought I am a Maritimer (surrounded by seafood) I hate it all; won't eat any of it, including lobster. I have never heard of those things.

I saw the musical "Mamma Mia" when I was in London England visiting my sister. I will go to the movie, too. I am an original ABBA fan; yes, there are a lot more ABBA tunes that could go on my playlist. The musical was fun but the story is so unrelated to anything ABBA (which I knew beforehand) that it was a bit surrealistic. I wonder how the movie will be.

I like Michael Buble (especially where he is Canadian) but I have never gotten into jazz or the style he sings.

I liked the music you sent but where it is more jazzlike it isn't my favourite. I really love classical, opera, pop, international (particularly spanish singers) and many others. I am not into rock, heavy metal or jazz. I like some modern Christian, like Nicole C. Mullens and some of Chris Tomlin but not overly familiar with a lot of it.

Glad you are having a day off and a playdate.

It is so hot here today, approaching 90, I am just about out of my mind. Baby Butter minds the heat too and we went for a 10 minute walk and I didn't think he was going to make it up the 4 steps home. We both pretty much collapsed when we got inside LOL and sat by the air conditioning.

I think you would love the Maritimes if you like Martha's Vineyard (not that I've been there).

Take care, Joy PS What is your real name-Arlette or Amanda?
  • Butter

OK, I went back to your 1st message and it did come up; all the pictures of MVineyard. Very beautiful. If you travelled the 3 Maritime provinces you would find many places that look just like it. Which would make sense because we share the same ocean, we are just north a bit. Lot of lighthouses, dunes (lots where I am living), fishing enterprises, villages by the sea. You would love it here. I can't ever imagine living away from the sea. On PEI, where i live, you are never more than a 10 minute or less, drive from the sea.
  • Butter

Amanda, You make me laugh too. I originally signed in as Jennie, which is my real name but I go by 3rd name which is Joy. all I've done by trying to have an internet name is really mess people up. They are so confused if I send them a private message because it still comes up as Jennie. I have people writing to me "Jennie/Joy". It is too funny. Then on Youtube I am "Jenny". I find it all a bit hard to keep straight.

Tell your sister to check out Banaroo on YouTube; my husband says they remind him of ABBA. Might even redo ABBA.

So that's where your music is coming from...I wasn't sure what it was, heaven calling....

Do you get real salt water ocean water in New Jersey? I don't know much (or hardly anything) about New Jersey. Do you have a Jersey accent?

I'll have to check out that Nichole Nordeman person. I have a habit of reading really quickly and often I see words that weren't there. Imagine my surprise when I read that Nicole Kidman sings Christian music. LOL I get a lot of surprises when I read the newspaper....don't know if I am any further ahead because I have to read a lot of things twice....have a good day...those Long John Silver things sound weird...is it fake seafood, deep fried? Yuck...only one thing worse than real seafood would be fakeseafood....hahahahahahaahah! Sugar, I just realized I posted this comment to you on my page; better go and change it. It is the heat, you know....it fries my brain, even with our air conditioners...
  • Carlee

Thank you! I don't think I've ever seen so many Cardigans on one website. I'm on a few Corgi forums, and only a small few are Cardi's. It's a shame, but all corgi's are cute :) Anyway, I LOVE the picture titled "Face", it's so cute. Lovely Cardigan, you must be very proud!
  • Butter

OK, girlfriend...have you seen Mamma Mia, the movie, yet? Saw it today...off to a bit of a slow start and then I absolutely loved!!!! it. I loved the dance scenes...beach, wharf, etc. You've gotta go...a great feel good movie.
  • Butter

Wow, I loved that writing. I wish you would join the Inspirational Corgis (maybe you are already a member, if so, please excuse me) and put it there. It really made me think; very profound. Thanks for sending it. Have fun with your Zoo. Joy
  • Florence

Blaze has such a cute face.....very serious, so "CARDI" !!!
  • Natalie, Lance &Tucker

Just wanted to say I just bought Leigh Nash music cd because of your website with her song My idea of Heaven is an awesome song and some of the other on her cd are nice too, alot of times you buy a cd for a song and only end up liking one song but she has some oher good ones too...just wanted to say Thank You!
  • Butter

Hey, so what's new with you? I love your background of pinks, and purples and the tropics. I would love to go...have never been except for Florida; at least I got to see palm trees. I also love the picture of you holding your baby, the close up. You look so pretty, both of you....seen any good movies recently. I would like to know if there have been any out....I haven't really seen anything I would love to see. Saw Get Smart earlier in the summer which I loved, I was a little kid when it was on originally and I LOVED it, always wanted to grow up to be and look like Agent 99. There doesn't seem to be anything worthwhile in the video store. How is your job going...is the nasty one gone or moved on...hope so. Joy
  • Dusty

Your right Blaze and my Baxter do look similar, must be the big ears and brindle coat. Is he a cardigan? I think Pembrokes tend to gain weight easier it seems. Noticed your post about vet.
  • Geri & Sidney

I love the animations you've added to your pictures! Blaze sure is a beauty (and I mean that in a very manly way, LOL)
  • Katie & Lola

We purchased the doggy bike buggy @ walmart. It was designed for 2 children (with a capacity of 100lbs.) but we modified it so it would hold a corgi. Our doggy loves it!
  • Kathie and Tucker

Thank you for the warm welcome. Oh, Blaze is utterly adorable! I look at him and just want to hug and kiss him all over! Since getting Tucker, I can't imagine being without his soft warm furry body cuddled up between us or tromping all over the bed, "talking corgi" and wanting us to put him on the floor so he can get into something else!
We have a 7 year old black & white tuxedo kitty whom I swear conspires with Tucker, because I see them cuddled up in the corner together, or touching noses, but then they pretend to try and eat each other when they see me looking.
  • Susan

Hello...you're only about 40 miles away from N. Manchester, where our corgis live. I love how corgi feet turn so green after the grass is mowed. Having a corgi in the house is just so much fun, isn't it?
  • Susan

Oh! I took the dog breed test as well, and find that I'm a bulldog too.
  • Elizabeth

thanks! want one? lol, we're trying to find homes for them but it's not going so well... My Kirby man is getting tired of the little munchkins :)
  • Warhol

He does, but it's growing in kind of funny. It seems like his white is just part of his tail undercoat. I'm thinking as he grows, and his tail gets fluffier, it will show through a little more. :)
  • Annette Birchler

How do I join the Cardi group? I love your Page and your Corgis are adorable! Take care. Annette
  • Sir Riley of Pembroke

OH riley had a few toys that were more of his favorite like a dinosoaur that you couldn't even tell was one anymore, but my dad threw it away so I saved the toys that he liked and played with but his most favorites were looong gone lol Thanks for the post we are hangin in there. I love the photo of your pup and the cigar!
  • Michelle

Love the pictures of your handsome fellow. As I am sure you know I am partial to brindle cardis. I cant imagine why! LOL
  • Natalie, Lance &Tucker

Hi! Hope you are doing well. I finally updated photos of Lance! Havent put any pictures on in a really long time, but I made up for lost time!
  • Jenni & Dave Fields

    hi arlette,
I just posted about a possible meet up location for IL/IN corgis:

    Hi everyone,
I checked into a possible meet up location today at my local pet spa. We have boarded Spencer there, taken classes and groomed him at this location. The people are wonderful and the facility is awesome and is located in Chicago Ridge, IL.

We can rent a room for 25.00 per hour. We would be able to bring in our own food, treats and we would have access to their fenced in outdoor area as well. They rent these rooms on Sundays only and all dogs would have to show proof of rabies, distemper, bordetella and a fecal flotation. They require this proof for the protection of your dogs as well as other's.

I did not secure a date at this time....I want to see if there are enough people interested. If you are, please contact me via my page here. We can all pitch in for the per hour rate......the more the merrier!
  • Deanna

  • Natalie, Lance &Tucker

    Happy Birthday Arlette!
  • Jenni & Dave Fields

    Hi Arlette,
I booked the room for the meet up. Go to "events" on the main page here for the details. Its is March 1st from 1-3 pm.
  • Natalie, Lance &Tucker

Hey how far away are you from the Chicago meet up at Pawsitively Heaven in Chicago Ridge? Wondering if you would be able to make it, check out the main page its on there! Although the date has been changed to March 8th!
  • Zach and Lisa

Hey everybody! I just called a few places to see who we could do a meet up with and I was only able to find one pet resort that would let us. It is in Castleton, IN. We would basically rent out an area for a couple of hours and let them run. I will get more details on everything tomorrow. The manager has to call me back for pricing and times and such. I was thinking 1-3 on a sat or sun? It would probably be around a month from now. Please let me know if you are interested and what would be best for you. I will do my best to get the most popular day and time.
  • Erin & Phil

    Thank you for the welcome!
