Welcome: There is a lot of good information about corgis on this site, what to look for in a breeder, what to be aware of for this breed, what the difference is between a pemmie and a cardi (pembroke and cardigan), etc. If you haven't already, check out the FAQ's, and you can do key word searches for areas that interest you by hovering your mouse over "members" at the top of the page then clicking on forum. You can also join groups. Honorary Corgis is a group where people share pictures and stories about thier pets who are not corgis. There is probably more than one group for people who live in your area. Do not miss the Awkward Little Sleepers group- the pictures are priceless.

A tailed corgi means he was not docked and has his full tail. Most Pembrokes are born with tails, but here in the US the breeders have the tails removed when the puppies are a few days old. This is now illegal in many other countries but is still practiced here in the US. Sidney has the "natural" look, the look that many Pembrokes around the world now have.

We brought Sidney home when he was 6 months old. It was wonderful, he was already trained and housebroken. Tri-colored corgis have colors like Rotties, sable corgis look like German SHepherds in color. They are herding dogs, they are very smart and easy to train! They will try to herd small children, cats and other dogs. Being herders they are more apt to wander than stay by your side, and they don't bark often, but when they do it is a surprisingly loud bark!
