About Me:
I am a 55 year old "foodie", animal lover, gardener, proud Mother and Wife and the Mamma to Abeand Lilly, (our Corgis) Mattie, Hannah, Cruiser, Libby, Harvey, Ruby and Black Girl (All Aussie sibblings to Abe). We, Joe and I, live on a small farm in North Carolina.
About My Corgi(s):
We aquired out first Corgi, Abe, 2 years ago and he is very special indeed! Besides being, like most if not all Corgi's, the most adorable and magical munchkin...he, unbeknownst to me at the time I purchased him, was born on the very day that my oldest son passed away at the age of 28 due to an accident. So you see, he was born to come to us! Abe is truely a muchkin...at 2 years old he is only 10 1/2 tall and weighs a mere 19 pounds! We also have just added to our family Lilly and little red headed tri!

Josh leaned more towards austistic tendencies, and is still a loner, and somewhat ocd. He lived a year in a group home with 5 other young men, and that, was his favorite year I think . He grew up with his sister and a single mom, which couldn't have been easy! The year with the guys was great fun, and a good weaner from Mom. Since then, he's lived in an apartment, and has worked as a bag boy in our town. He does his own bills, checking acct, cooks, cleans, laundry etc. As long as things don't unexpectedly happen to upset his structured enviroment, he does fantastic. He's extremely myopic, so never drove, and wears 2 hearing aides. I feel sometimes, that I've held him back, but ....regrets are stupid at this point. He's polite, caring, crafty, loves to read, and thrives in a small town setting. He doesn't feel challenged enough working as a bag boy now for 11 years, but, jobs are very hard to come by in a small town, where unemployment runs rampant anyway. For the first 5 yrs, he worked with a support person, once or twice a week, but no one helps now, just me, when needed. Usually when there are issues dealing with soc. sec, or medicaid redeterminations. Other than that, he does well. I've always felt that he has a guardian angel that works overtime!

Hi Terry, your bio and your little tri is so similar to mine. I have a special needs son, now 34, and was wondering if the young man with the lovely dog is your son. We're in northeastern Indiana, but my married daughter and grandbaby live in Chapel Hill.

I know what you mean by hot... our high today in Anderson SC is supposed to be 99! It's 90 degrees right now and we are staying IN THE HOUSE for the most part... though Rolo is barking for me to get off the puter and play :)

You live close to me! I am also in the WS area, and just got my 2 babies in April. My red, Bentley, came from a breeder in Dobson. Kristel came from Ohio. I think she will be small, as she is a lot smaller than Bentley now and her breeder told me she would be. She is only 3.5 months old right now, and I'm not planning on breeding her. For the reasons stated in the last comment on your post, and mostly because she is our pet and it would be devestating to lose her in childbirth, which can happen. Abe is a cutie! Good luck in your search!
