McClellan Butte, named after George B. McClellan, who was out here before the Civil War trying to punch a wagon road over Snoqualmie Pass. He was no more successful than he was against the Confederacy. A popular local climb very close to Seattle. I-90 is right in front of it, mercifully out of view and earshot.
