Background features 3 peaks of the Ptarmigan traverse: Spider, Formidable, and Sentinel. At right are LeConte and South Cascade Glaciers. We spent the night here: Hidden Lake Peak (north peak), 7000', 4 miles, 3500' gain, the best bang-for-the-buck in the North Cascades.
This is the west boundary of North Cascades National Park -- no dogs allowed -- so if she falls off that vertical cliff behind her, she's breaking the law.
