The crossing is 60 feet at least, 2.5-3 feet diameter. I belayed Al with a rope and harness, since a slip would be fatal. Might have been safer to just let him walk across. This is not really a challenge for a corgi; they show no fear... so I don't trust them.

Agreed 100% with the harness. I have seen corgis cross logs ++++ times and I have also seen them fall off (into slow moving creeks).
