Not a set-up shot. Hot day, even at 6500'; it didn't take her long to find the only patch of snow.
I scrambled that left (south) ridge all the way to the summit once -- it can be done without ever setting foot on glacier ice, so you can do it alone.
In 1906, C.E.Rusk & A.L.Cool hobbled their horses here and went up that vast trackless Suiattle River valley with 2 blankets and a gun and little else, shot a goat for food, and made the 2nd ascent of Glacier Peak. Almost certainly the first Europeans there.
And I thought I was a hiker...
