Mt. Dickerman, a very popular hike perhaps 1.5 hr's drive from Seattle. "Only" 5725', but it starts at 1800' -- almost 4000' in 4.5 miles, a stiff hike. A rare clear day, this barely hints at the stunning 360-degree view. The distant volcano is called Glacier Peak by us White guys, Dakobed by the Natives.
I made a pupsicle with Gwynnie in some snow. Many hikers were present, and she was a huge celebrity with her Doggles and Chillybuddy cooling vest. Everybody wanted to take her picture. I bask vicariously in the coolness of my cute dog. It's tremendously neurotic. Who cares?

Not just babe-magnets.  Austin (Awe-Stun) receives much admiration from the male sector of our population.

Shhhhhhh.  If the women ever realize what babe-magnets corgis are, they'll never let us leave home unchaperoned.

They may be a marketing opportunity here.  Rent-A-Corgi to guys cruising for chicks.  Sell little packages of corgi fur to spread on your Armani suit or the upholstery of your Lamborghini.  Women look for that sort of thing.

True enough, and think of how much further his career would have made it if he'd had one.  He also chose a Ferrari over a Corgi which limited his ability to impress the women.

Steve McQueen never had a Chillybuddy Cooling Vest.

Humans can never be as cool as Corgis, John.  Steve McQueen came close but even he fell short.  Just be glad that Gwynnie and Al let you hike with them.
