I was throwing the ball for him, he must have caught it when he spun around.  He didnt yelp or anything.  I didnt even know he did it until i saw the blood.  He has a Cone of Shame, but he is doing well.  We had vaccinations scheduled anyhow so the vet took a look.  But it looks like it should heal just fine.
