Thanks Lois.  I'll keep that in mind about the beef bones.  I need to find something that my shepherd can chew for more than 5 minutes, lol.  I got him a knucklebone once, thinking that would last, but in about 10 minutes he had that thing obliterated!  I tried the bully sticks and they didn't last like I thought they might either.  Even my corgi, Ella, ate hers in record time.

Hi Cindy, I get the big beef joint bones.  I get the ones with some meet and gook on them and clean them up some and give those to my 2.  On those joint bones, there is a lot of cartilage and it chews easily. Those are the ones that are all round in 2 ridges on the bones, but there are others that don't look like that and I don't like them as well. These last quite a long time.  I got elk bones which didn't last long but maybe deer would have done better.  I think all dogs are chewers but it seems like my corgis have outdone some of the others but I am getting old and may not remember.

Hi Lois!  Yes, my Ella would sit and chew tiny pieces off it until there wasn't much left!  Thankfully, she didn't swallow any of the pieces...just liked to chew it up.  I'm waiting for an order of Elk antlers to come.  I hear they are long lasting.  I'll keep my fingers crossed on that one!
