The black ring around the eyes actually is called the "mascara".  Trooper really lays it on thick, never noticed it like that.  He's a beauty. Don't let him get overweight.  Whenever you take him to the vet, verify the microchip -- Gwynnie's failed, perhaps for years before we discovered this.
