He is really a sweet little dog. He was s stray that was turned in at the police department where I'm a part time officer. We are small and don't have animal control, so we have a kennel behind the PD for strays. We keep them 48 hours and then they go to the county shelter. I brought Winston home after the 48 hours had passed. Wasn't aware of his breed until I took him to our vet for a checkup and shots. The vet said that he was alomst surely a Cardigan Welsh Corgi and showed us a photo in the "breed book." He sure looks like one! When he was brought in to the PD, he had no collar nor tags and no sign of ever having had either.
Meet Sir Winston, our Cardigan Welsh Corgi who was a stray turned in at the little police department where I'm a part time officer. We keep strays 48 hours and if they arefn't claimed, they go to the shelter. I dedided that Winston was such a good little dog that if he wasn't claimed, he was joining our "canine family." (We have two other "four legged children with permanent fur coats.") We were going to name him Buddy until our vet told us that he was almost certainly a purebred Cardigan Welsh Corgi, so Winston seemed more appropriate. He is really a sweet little guy who usually lies in my lap when I'm working in my home office.
