Corgi of the House

Corgi of the house, doling out the charm
Ready with a handshake and an open paw
Runs around and barks, makes a little stir
Visitors appreciate a bon-viveur
Glad to do a friend a favor
Doesn't cost him to be nice
But nothing gets you nothing
Everything has got a little price!

Corgi of the house, quick to catch yer eye
Ready to relieve you of a treat or two
Comforter and clown, a lifelong mate!
Never wants a passerby to pass him by
Everybody's boon companion
Everybody's chaperone
He does whatever pleases
