It was just by chance that she was looking back over her shoulder at me.   I didn't notice that until I downloaded the pictures when we got home.  Framing her in the shot was intentional, but the pose was serendipity.   This was her first off-leash hike after she came to live with us.   Her face says "Let's go this way!" and that sums up Maddie's attitude towards life.
