We have a hot bottle of water that fits inside a stuffed animal and we have a towel with it's mothers scent on it and 2 travelclocks that tick like crazy.

sometimes its good to put a hot bottle of water wrapped in a towel if he sleeps in a crate..the warmth will remind him of his mother and will make the transition easier :)
