Comment by Cheryl Boiko on September 23, 2012 at 3:24pm What can I say, my favorite big, beautiful corgi boy! I'm just waiting for the corgi picnic to give him more nice big hugs and lots of kisses!
Comment by Rocky Road Gallagher on September 18, 2012 at 2:46pm Looking good, Uncle Gromit! Definitely putting your best paw forward!
Lois, Gromit hasn't been really groomed since May. I brush him if he starts to look too raggedy when he's blowing his coat but that about it. I take he and Sparkle to Pet Smart every other week to get their claws trimmed. I bathed and brushed him a bunch extra early in the year when we visited his breeder, Jean York, at a dog show in Scottsdale. He was quite the handsome fellow, not as polished as the dogs groomed for show that day but I was proud of him, as I always am. I talked with Jean once about his coat length and it's a little longer than some but still within the acceptable range for the breed standard.
Comment by Lois B. Allen on September 16, 2012 at 9:36am Oh, I see its the breeder who says it is normal length. You agree it is a glamor. I know he just has good genes. He is one of the most handsome adult males that I have ever seen pics of and a lot of it is the shiny, glorious coat. of course his face and eyes are good. Do you groom him yourself?
Lois, Gromit's breeder says his coat is within normal length spec for a Corgi. I still refer to it as a glamor coat myself.
Grom's a handsome fellow, Kymii, no doubt about it. He's got good genes behind him and favors his dad.
Comment by Lois B. Allen on September 15, 2012 at 11:57pm I think he has a glamor/glamour coat but Doug says NO.
