What a touching story. It made me teary eyed. You saved him and gave him a wonderful home for 14 years. It takes a strong woman to deal with all that.

I see you got Ein in October . This is the same month I got Peanut. He was also called 007, as he was black, and white. His marking were like a tux. and he had the long body he look like bond.

I got him from Petland where I was the manager for a few months I quit due  to the care the owner allowed for the pets. He came from a mill. When he came in he was to young, had been in the back of a truck for days coming from AZ. to MD. He was really sick, had worms. We lost an English Cocker that traveled with him from Parvo. He hated to be in the window he was in. Within hours of being put in the window he would get diarrhea, a big bloated stomach, and his hair would fall out. I took take him to the vet. They would ran tests, did biopsy's (to find out what was making his hair fall out). They told the owner he was dying that he had a heart, and respiratory problem, and no hope. He decide to send him back to the breeder. He was so tiny. I ask to take him home till they came back. I did. He came out of his crate, was so happy at my house I already had a  Shar-pei, Ori-pei, English Cocker Spaniel (1mnth older) and a black cat. Everybody wanted to play, he was so happy, and about the size of Maggie (the Shar-pei's little paw. The playing lasted at the most 5 min.. He got dizzy, and fell down. i put him to bed with me, and he slept all night. With in 2 days he was well so I had to take him back to the window The owner really wanted to sell him. He had 500.00 invested. Selling him for 850.00. One hour in the window very sick,  again. repeat the above many times over the next several weeks. vet visits biopsy's , back to my house. He dropped the price down to 200.00. I was not allowed to have anymore pets. (the ones mentioned above are only the larger ones I had. The next day he decided to have a dog sale mark 100.00 off the price of all dogs except a Husky I think it was,  so I did. Then I called a friend to come in and buy him for me.

After going through all the puppy mill junk ,and lack of support from the owner when it came to their care, I resigned, took my baby and came home. This was the best most humane thing I think I have ever done. They put him though hade's. I never wanted to go through this again. By the way I use to own a small independent pet shop in NC in the 70's we did not sell puppies. This is Mr. Peanuts Humble beginning He flourished once he was home.
