My little buddy just had double cruciate ligament repair surgery after tearing ligaments in both of his knees.  Not sure really how it happened....just running and playing like any other day and he went limp.  The vet says he may have been born with the weak ligaments and when running he might have hit a uneven part of the ground that finally caused them both to tear at the same time.  Finally though...we got him taken care of and he is on his way to being back to his happy self.  He is the worst patient though...he already wants to go for a walk and tries to run anytime someone knocks on the door.  I hate keeping him in his pen, but I still need to keep him semi-immobile for two more weeks!  He is loving all the attention though...:)
